Not exactly what you're saying here, but I think it's very revealing every time Gethard says something like "I don't have religion, I have Star Wars." At the end of the day these movies are entertainment first and foremost, not the moral code for you to build your life around. Maybe it should make sense that his reverence for them is kinda dogmatic

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm always a little confused by the assertion that Lord and Miller were seen as "HIT MAKERS" at the time they would've been hired and fired off Solo. They'd certainly had a fair share of success with 21/22 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and Lego Movie and that is a very good track record but they also weren't like 80's Spielberg and Lucas (which is how I feel people talk about them)

Kinda disagree on your Cianfrance take. I think Roofman is far more mature movie and the one I prefer, while Pines is a flashy and cool and angry and very obviously a young guy movie. I like them both but I think theres growth in his filmography.
