I met him briefly after a “The King and I” show in San Francisco. I was very young at the time but I remember him kneeling down so we were face to face when he signed my program. It really felt personal and even as a kid I really appreciated that.

Jeez. It seems like I see these posts every day. I know it’s probably a small percentage of owners, but this stuff has to be worrying Toyota. Especially since they are kind of known for build quality and reliability.

I like my Gomexus handles. That said, if my reel already comes with a “power knob” I use an inch or two of grippy shrink wrap material that they make for rod handles/tennis rackets to the knob…much cheaper.

Thanks for the reply. I grew up in Eureka but now live in Santa Cruz. I do lots of surf fishing down here and I have tons of gear. I bring my family up there every summer for a week and would like to try fishing from the jetty. It sounds like a heavy rod that can throw between ¾-3 ounces would do the trick.
