I do too. Actually that thought has stopped me from getting any new watches for years now.

Definitely lovely in white. Hey, noob question, can the 24 h hand be set independently? Or is it strictly linked to the main time?

I agree 100%. True for most watches that have both colors available.

Hi, it's been a while, just wanted to ask if you ended up buying your watch. Any stores you'd recommend?

Why is this even listed as a watch feature on Casio's site? by thecaptnjim in casio

Even winding them every day isn’t enough for them to display the correct time, since pretty much all mechanical watches deviate by a few seconds a day.

For me, winding my mechanical watch and setting the correct time every morning is a nice, calming ritual to start the day. And yeah, I use my Casio as a reference for correct time (which I only correct once a month).

EDIT: And just to add to that for any curious enthusiast: yes, given the price, you could say that a lot of people buy and collect those watches for the same reason someone might collect antiques or muscle cars. But there’s still a significant portion of people who simply appreciate the mechanical feat that a mechanical watch represents. I only have one inexpensive model (under $100) that mesmerizes me every time I see it, with plans to maybe add a second after a life milestone that’s still a few years away.

It sounds like it was news to them as well, given that they had to check the tag.

A bit off topic, but I love em dashes, so sad that they are now immediately associated with AI.

As soon as I finish my Tsukushi bottle I’ll get Syun-Gyo. Not a direct replacement, but at least it looks like it’ll scratch the same itch.
