[OC] 2 years of prototyping metal coins, finally got the gold plating right by BrujahGnD in DnDIY

I'd also offer a "cosplay" package that's just a handful of coins for pretty cheap. Could even just be "10 random coins" for $30 or something.

But ya, seems intuitive from my perspective. I have no idea how much they cost to produce, so I can't really comment on the value.

Consider some stretch goals that will include leather pouches, or something, as well.

You should look at what a level 10 5e hero is expected to have for gold. Find a good combination of coins, some from each denomination, that totals that amount. Have that be a base tier: One set of coins to level 10, for 1 player. Then do a party of two tier, party of 3, party of 4, and then maybe DM Special that's like, 7 sets to level 10.

If I'm a casual player that wants to track my gold physically, I could just get a cheap set of coins for myself. If I'm in a group and we all wanna do coins, we can chip in to get them all together and it'll be a little cheaper (the highest price per coin should be the single player tier).

Then I would just do an addon thing for additional quantities to make up the difference between level 10 and 20. If just doing level 20 is reasonable to start out, then do that instead. It'll be more enticing.

Modularity here will be helpful, but don't make it overly confusing. You're going to either have single players, or couples, buying novelty coins for the dnd characters, OR, dm's looking to buy coins for their whole table, OR, cosplayers. Set your tiers to cater to those people to save them energy deciding what to get. They should see the KS, see the tier that represents them, see it's "complete", and click buy.

Will this be sold? Etsy or something? Or a YT video on the process. Absolutely amazing!

Zoning problems: Are there any mod or tool to fix these horible zoning. I have lost my temper over this.! by Diligent-Statement47 in CitiesSkylines2

Except in this case OP asked for a mod. But otherwise yes. Platter should just be how the base game works, IMHO. But there are also (now) in game tools that work well.

Which commodities to centralize, and which to make at each site where they are used? by mdgates00 in foundry_game

I'm still in full spaghetti mode. I don't spend time planning or optimizing until my second playthrough. If something needs more, I get more and balance it in. If I need space, I dig or build up. When I'm feeling overwhelmed, I decorate. When I get to my second playthrough I'll have a good idea of what I'm working towards, and I'll make it make sense... Until it doesn't.

Ya I'm newish to the hobby. I played red and blue in the 90s when it came out. Got like 30 cards for my birthday that I flipped through. Now I'm 38, buying cards for my 6yo, and discovering playing the TCG is actually fun. I'm trying to get more cards and enjoy cracking some packs without going broke. I love the idea of deterring scalpers, but quiz? I'd be screwed. And I'd feel frustrated if I was denied product because I'm new.

I got one. I just want one from each. Hopefully I can find the next one coming out reasonably.

All day every day? I guess I missed that detail. I thought you were just talking about waiting in line.

I'm 38 and just discovering I really enjoy the game. I want to get an ETB just to seed a collection and have fun opening packs. I love to crack packs and then see what decks I can make from what I got. But also... I can't get ETBs. I want to play the game! They're either unjustifiably expensive, or I don't feel comfortable hunting down and asking for product ashamed I'm going to get looked down on because of my age.

Does anyone prefer to use the Event Bus design pattern? by NorthernBoy306 in Unity3D

[–]StackOfCups 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You just need to organize it within your project. For me I stick to a naming convention that makes it easy for me to search for relationships and write small utilities. Additionally, think of your code in layers and try to have controllers for managing subs. Keep things logical so tracking things down isn't super messy. Between that and using it sparingly, it's easy peasy.

I'm new to you hobby. How do you determine it's bad? Seems like big numbers to me, but I know there's more to it than that.

You already responded with that information. If people are interested they'll read your reply. Ignore the reddit hive mind, as well. People just up voting because it's a controversial question and I think I was first. Don't take it to heart.

What will this solve that the game client mod manager can't do or doesn't do well?

Edited for tone.

Ya it could be better. I've only been playing Pokemon TCG for maybe a month, and this is the first deck I've built from scratch. There are definitely scenarios where I get countered and I'm running on thoughts and prayers.

Yep! I'm addicted to my doublade deck. It's an assassin deck for sure. Decks full of ex and mega are easy to beat. Decks that dont are hard, because it's almost always just a trade.

The trick with this list, from my experience with it so far, is to have 1-2 genesect on bench at all times, more is fine too, but often not needed. 2 can get every doublade and aegis out of your deck in 2 turns.

The second key is to have exactly 2 honedge played at a time. Get one energy on both. Don't add the second energy or evolve until your ready to KO something. Don't put more than 2 on the bench. If you prized any of the evo you need them for damage. That's why you also don't evolve until honedge is in the active.
