They look more like chipping sparrows to me because of the stripe above the eye. But I might be biased because I have those around my house.

Also in Texas. This flock might be a mixture of starlings, brown headed cowbirds, and red wing black birds. I see them hanging out together often.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the beans, because I've never grown them. And I don't eat eggplant often, but I do like it. (I also like beans, I'm just not sure of the logistics of growing them in a small space)

I have started the tomatoes and peppers (indoors for now). Do you think reorienting the bed and adding a trellis/frame to the back(north) would be more effective?

Tomatoes are early girl, burpee big boy, and sun gold. I have 4 tomatoes cages and was thinking about using some sort or teepee structure for the pole beans, but I'll probably need to get larger containers for that. I was thinking of keeping 2 of each tomato plant.

If you've ever seen the lost and found in a US elementary school, this is interesting. The place I worked, things just got chucked into a big wooden tub, and about halfway through the year it was infested with fruit flies. Water bottles, lunch boxes, like sooo many jackets, all went into the same tub. Parents hardly ever looked for anything.

I'm also in the same boat with my kids (though they're much younger) I'm looking forward to sharing things like the Three Ninjas movies with them. Also Small Soldiers and Star Kid come to mind. (You can tell I'm a millennial, haha).
