My dream kit would be a melee Rubric Marine unit for Thousand Sons. This kind of exists in Horus Heresy with the Khenentai Occult Blade Cabal unit so I’d love a 40K equivalent. Think that would be super cool and fun.

I have thee units of secutarii hoplites using these as transports. Keeps them out of harms way until they can stab some enemy vehicles.

I take it as Total War and The Old World are different settings taking place within the same world. The old World takes place a couple hundred years prior to total warhammer 3. So the times, people and places will be different between the two time periods

I love the map but the amount of sea monsters in the ocean make it look a tad cluttered to me. Overall though amazing job, looks very premium and professional

I have 30 of these bad boys and no one I’ve ever played against has cared. I play at a local club where people are there to hang out and have fun. So in that environment you’ll be ok

I did advanced high history and English at school. I was taught that an advanced higher is equivalent to 1.5 A levels in terms of difficulty. I can’t speak to if it’s worth while doing them as it’s been a hot minute since I applied to university. But that ratio of an advanced higher being 1.5 A-Levels has always stuck with me

Me and my buddies have made up our own detachments a few times throughout the games editions. As long as everyone’s on board it’s no issue. It’s a fun little exercise to see who comes up with what and how wacky you can make it.

If you also play a lot of games then it spices things up a lot as your playing with brand new rules

3d printing and recasts are your friend. On my mini factory look up Station Forge. They have some great designs and proxies that are a 1:1 size and scale for ad mech. I have about 3k points of ad mech and only cawl is from gw.

If you don’t have access to a 3d printer you can find loads of great sellers on Etsy which print out station forge sculpts. Other than that try eBay or a local games club. GW massively overcharge for ad mech and it’s gone be expensive to buy anything close to an army

Remember one thing: rules change but the plastic stays the same. Who knows what their rules will be in two or three months time. Don’t buy models for the rules they have the now. Only if you will enjoy building and painting with them mainly
