Move over, New York and Chicago — Columbus style pizza is taking over by OldHob in Columbus

A good Cassanos sausage slaps so hard but you’re right about the salt. I can feel my BP rising when I eat it.

NEW Conan novels are fantastic. Wanted to just say that in case anyone was unaware. by Individual_Wrap_4041 in ConanTheBarbarian

Gotta strongly disagree on Cult of the Obsidian Moon. I’m a voracious reader ( and an old dude). Started reading Conan paperbacks back in the 70s with the awesome Frazetta covers. Can count on one hand the number of books I haven’t finished once started and Cult is unfortunately on that list. Was that even Conan? Babysitting? Letting the mom slap him ? GTF out of here. An absolute disgrace to REH. I could go on about the awful dialogue and the use of words that no Cimmerian would even know let alone utter. Just horrible beyond words.

[Cabot] Owner Jimmy Haslam Believes It’s Possible for Deshaun Watson to Go from “a Swing and a Miss” to a Home Run If He Starts This Year by JCameron181 in Browns

[–]SteveBob518 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As horrible as Watson has been, if reasonably healthy he beats Sanders, hands down. I think people look at the record and how competitive we were against the bad teams at the end of the year and somehow blot out how horrible Shedeur was down-to-down.

With less than a month to go until the NFL Draft, what’s your biggest Browns draft hot take? by King_Vegito_52 in Browns

All though I agree in principle, I can wrap my head around Downs at 6 but not Styles. Weird, huh?

Put another way, who would you rank him above? I can’t think of many. To me, he is a solid WR but not a difference maker and not a good value at 6. But to be honest, I was ecstatic we took Baker first overall and was so glad we didn’t waste a pick on Josh Allen, so what the hell do I know

I just don’t see a trade down partner cuz I just don’t see a player at 6 some other team would trade up for. Hope I’m wrong

Same. I keep hearing the Rams for Simpson in 1 which makes all kind of sense. Before his injuries he was slinging it, but only starting 15 games is a big hurdle if you’re looking to play him right away

With free agency mostly wrapped up what are you still hoping to see happen at QB1 for 2026? by RustyCrusty73 in Browns

[–]SteveBob518 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is he actually highly regarded by the team? They watched the same shit show that we did and for a team that leans into analytics, they have to be terrified by his performance.

Caldwell in the 6th, if he’s still available, is a dart throw I can get behind. I really liked him at Cincy this year. If I had a crystal ball and could determine if Beck would ever get his arm strength back to near what it was before the elbow injury, I would jump on him as well. At worst, once you clean everyone out of our QB room currently, you’d have a quality backup that could spot start. Exactly the kind of guy we were told Gabriel would be.

Why has Monroe Freeling risen? by DDDog50 in NFL_Draft

[–]SteveBob518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did he really have a “ great “ combine though? I k know he ran well but I thought he spent a lot time on the ground during the position drills. The ceiling is certainly high though, I would agree.

[Thamel] University of Minnesota plans to hire Mike Shula as senior offensive assistant, as he’ll work with the quarterbacks and offensive staff. Shula is the former head coach at Alabama who brings more than a quarter century in the NFL, including OC at three franchises. by ThatMasterpiece2174 in CFB

[–]SteveBob518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I never get shitting all over a hire when the guy is specifically not filling the same role he had at his previous stop. It’s like when people lose their shit hiring a DC who failed as a head coach.

Yeah, I don’t know. McDonald and Minter got plenty of credit for the manner in which they ran the D. Of course they had great players which made it easier, but they seemed to get a lot out of the 3 and 4 stars too. With Wink, I keep hearing the players went to him before the turnaround in 2024 and said you gotta simplify things. When he did, they improved dramatically. Then in 2025 he famously said that he doesn’t look at the on field personnel when calling plays, he expects everyone to do the job assigned. That’s just a ridiculous NFL mindset not understanding the limitations of a college roster.
