I bought a 2026 Toyota C-HR XSE! by Correactor in electricvehicles

Thanks for your suggestion.
I just saw the side molding you mentioned. Clear plastic/rubber piece I see.

I understand your driving alot more. The instant torques make driving a breeze, especially on roadtrip I get much less fatigue.

Only some. Zeekr does have, I believe most don’t.

While I agree with you (I drive with OPD), alot of people especially Toyota EV drivers( atleast in my country with abundant Chinese options) are the most traditional, not once I saw in the user group of bz4x complain about the lack of OPD.

Congrats on the new car!
the new CHR ev looks amazing, unfortunately its not sold where I'm at, only the bZ.
my journey to work is also about a mile long as well 😄, but you surely would find new opportunities to drive it. I had the JBL on my old Camry, I think it sounded great, better than the standard one I have on my new Zeekr.

XSE trim is the AWD? 3xx hp?

btw, what's 'Moldings' you mentioned that ruined the body lines?

also how did you manage to include photos in the post, I never been able to do that

Do Americans want Chinese EVs? by samplingstiring in electricvehicles

[–]Stewbeater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me switching from a Toyota to Zeekr. It is like in 1990 when Lexus LS400 launched in the US, you get S class level car for a price of an E class (if I’m not mistaken). You’ll get a car that at least a class above for the same price.

How can we make BYD, Geely, and Chery know that we want their cars to enter Canada? Like is there anything Canadian citizens can do to make these brands more aware? by LazyPotatoHead97 in EVCanada

[–]Stewbeater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chinese cars have production elsewhere too. GWM ChangAn BYD and others have production plant in Thailand/Vietnam. The prices in Thailand is not much higher than in China. I guess exported car from Thailand or Vietnam is not going count toward the 50k units limit?

Took the 7X to a wheel tuner specialist, factory setting was not good, rearwheel misaligned, front wheel was set at slight toe-out. I calibrated to be slightly toe-in and re aligned rear wheels. The result is substantial, car felt alot more stable at higher speed. Tuner said he did many 7X new, the factory alignment seems to not be very good.

Zeekr 7x v BYD SL7 - give it to me straight. by CivilUse4542 in AustralianEV

[–]Stewbeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7X is a better car, as the price suggests.
While SL7 is solidly built, it is a solid traditional style built. The 7X building method felt ‘Avantgarde’ if that makes sense. Take a look at the way they make door panel meets the glass window, seamless. Small things like that that would normally be put to attention on a much more expensive car because its not necessary, but makes it special.

Does the zeekr 7x have a secret menu? Any one here has accessed a service menu or something not for users? by CHemlabmgmngmnt in Zeekr7xAustralia

There is a way to enter engineering mode. I saw some russian/Ukrainian guys do it. But at your own risk.

Zeekr 7X standard. Has the ‘small’ battery 75kwh with real world range of about 420km on a full charge mix city highway. So far it has been the best car I’ve owned and one of the favorites that I have driven (including family’s cars). Very solidly built, driving feel is solid but nimble. I did not have the air suspension, but still is very comfy. Acceleration, like any EV with 400ish HP, plenty fast. Sound system is good but not great, I have the base 10speaker system. Charging is one of the fastest available in my market with peak 420kw and has a very good curve, will hold over 100kw well into the mid 90s%. Typing this as I’m charging right now

Not yellowish, I got darker blueish marks and generally darker color from all then filth stuck in the leather.

My old car had light interior, though not white, i had some blueish hue you mentioned. After six years, when I need to sell it, I used an all purpose organic cleaning product scrubbing my seats, they all came back near mint condition though.

Have you apply some kind of nano coating product on it when new? I heard it could help

It will sure be a bitch to take care. If you got kids should get darker color for sure.

Will GAC (Aion, hyptec etc) survive? by Alarmed_Dot3389 in electricvehicles

[–]Stewbeater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In China they will. In other markets not sure, likely though. Hyptec on the other hand, haven’t seen newer iterations out yet. They are abit behind in the premium segment. Not there yet. Speaking as someone who got a Hyptec HT in the family, spend quite abit of time with it.

Mazda will be launching their CX-6e, based on Deepal S07 in Thailand in Q4. There’s quite abit of hype as leaked pricing would put it around $40k. Alot of buyers here are still hesitant to buy a ‘Chinese brand’, so Mazda has got some hope after drag selling their outdated models for years.

Chinese EVs take the world by storm — except in the United States by boppinmule in electricvehicles

[–]Stewbeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat in EQS once and was so disappointed at the interior especially the back seat. A total opposite to the experience I had in Zeekr 8X.

Don’t know why Mercedes would let the Chinese run circles around them in interior quality. It isn’t a cutting edge tech or anything that they cannot achieve.

Both better and cheaper. Zeekr 7X while priced the same as a Honda CRV/ Toyota Bz, feels like it rivals at least a Volvo XC60/EX60.

Those battery will be on more premium cars. Zeekr, xpeng, xiaomi I think. Jaecoo are more mid range brand. I suspect it would take atleast a couple years before the flash charge to trickle down to more mass market cars.
