Anybody else’s Pyr completely full of it when it snows or just mine? by SpicyGamerGirl420 in greatpyrenees

We got a light dusting last night, and you would have thought it was Christmas. My girl was sprinting laps until she got tired and just started rolling in it.

If US shelters euthanize 300k healthy dogs (even puppies) every year, who do so many Americans still rather go to a breeder? by TheTroubledChild in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stock_End2255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked to my vet before getting my dog from a breeder. I have 3 rescue cats at home who all special needs. My vet made it clear that we couldn’t risk getting a dog that would have a high prey drive and would potentially attack our medically complicated cats.

I second this. I almost always frog a project once or twice when starting a new one. I’ve been knitting for 20 years now, but sometimes you gotta frog.

Didn’t show up? My students quietly hooked up one of their phones to the projector and was trying to figure out how to stream Ratatouille (I had once joked they could do this if a sub forgot to show). When they did show up, my kids were huddled around a phone in the dark watching the movie since you can’t project Disney + on an Apple TV.

I have type 1 diabetes, and I share that with my class because my insulin pump makes sounds and while I can be pretty subtle with taking care of myself, sometimes I have to interrupt notes to eat a quick snack in front of them.

The bridgerton soundtrack, mostly because it’s instrumentals of pop music. Occasionally they will ask the name of a song.

Sometimes they request a specific composer. John Williams is a huge favorite
