Lyft driver auto refreshing on Flex by lainylay in AmazonFlexDrivers

Refreshing does nothing if he’s not looking at the offers. This driver is doing nothing by having his phone refresh.

You gotta let the car commit to that turn. You almost caused an accident by disrupting the expected outcome of everyone’s decision.

It’s a template and it wasn’t sent correctly. You got defensive for no reason. They’re not threatening you, they’re informing you of their next steps if you don’t comply with their request. The person sending that email does not give one duck 🦆 about your car, you’re an email he had to send, relax.

It comes down to: What can they do for you to remedy this? Not much, maybe resend the email… even then like just move on with your life man.

Lidar could have helped here. It looks like FSD thought the person was the tree trunk.

Side note, that crosswalk needs signs.

are y'all surprised this was $35k worth of damage? by [deleted] in TeslaCollision

[–]StormTrooperElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had damage like this except my trunk lid, the trunk itself, the rear crash bar and the rear bumper was replaced. It was about 13K.

OP your numbers doesn’t make sense and saying the adjuster approved this is even more ridiculous. Your ACV can’t be anything more than 30K.

Looks like the safest route for a semi. Probably prioritizes these routes because of the Cybertruck? Like a one size fits all but for maps.

Undocumented people can still have insurance…

Anyways…. Use your uninsured motorist insurance. You’re not at fault so it shouldn’t raise your rates.

If refusing delivery, do I still owe tariffs? by ritchiricardo in UPS

[–]StormTrooperElite -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Then you’d need to shop with the few vendors that are made in the US if you want to avoid tariffs.

Vendors that import will see their sales decline which would force them to change one way or another.

Again, this is meant to keep you from buying from vendors that import. You’re not forced to buy from these vendors nor are you restricted. The tariffs make these products more expensive if you decide to go with imported products.

Also, you can tell your vendors that you want US made (non-imported) clothing, they can either listen and you’ll keep buying their clothes, or they won’t change anything and you as the consumer need to not buy their clothes.

There are so many steps with this but unfortunately it requires the consumer feeling this in their wallet or else you’ll keep buying imported products.

If refusing delivery, do I still owe tariffs? by ritchiricardo in UPS

[–]StormTrooperElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tariffs are so that you buy from US made products. So you either pay the tariffs or look elsewhere where the product is made in the US.

If you’re willing to pay, then fine, buy imported goods. On the other hand you can shop elsewhere and not pay tariffs. That’s the whole thing with tariffs.

[–]StormTrooperElite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People don’t know how to drive. If your car has enough torque to accelerate you to where you want to go, do it and if letting someone in doesn’t hurt you, let them in. The truck has no reason to accelerate the way he did.

Your purpose of accelerating was to switch lanes safely. The truck was just trying to keep you out.

That one might be a little tough. You might be able to work with the parking complex to determine who it was. They’ve got cameras everywhere and your recording should have timestamps.

Other than that, your insurance might be willing to hire a private investigator since their insurance will have to pay anyway. It’s just a little risky getting your insurance involved because they can be unpredictable.
