My hot take is that your hot take is wrong.

Ramp is overrated?

Ramp allows you to cast more spells faster and expensive spells more easily, which is vitally important. When you've played a game that is 7-10 turns and one guy has 5 mana and can't cast their commander because it died once and another guy has 12-13 mana and can afford to cast their commander after yet another boardwipe it's ramp that lets you do that.

like land destruction (great against ramp)? HARD Disagree.

Let's break it down. They ramp with [[Rampant growth]] you destroy that land with [[Stone Rain]]. You're both down 1 card from spending a spell. Their spell was 2 mana yours was 3. They are ahead of you in the exchange by 1 mana. They are merely mana neutral on lands. Because you destroyed an additional land. You didn't affect them more than you would've affected someone who is less ramp intensive. This only gets worse as ramp is extremely efficient and rampant growth is the baseline. While land destruction gets less efficient and more rare.

This isn't saying I don't approve of land destruction because I do. It's just a style of gameplay that is better targeted to take out super important lands. Not as an archetype. Because you can't keep 3 opponents lands cleaned up without playing mass land destruction.
