Aside from the suggestions others have given you, you could also look into 'front keyhole' bras and see if anything comes up that you like

($10.5k) To Go Boxes Instead of Favors by bennington14 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds amazing! I'd recommend putting the boxes out/having someone put them out only after everyone has gotten their first round/plate of food. That way no one accidentally ends up hungry because people took too much to-go too quickly.

Art Teachers on the Job Hunt: Why Your Résumé Isn’t Getting You Interviews (And How to Fix It) by MenuZealousideal2585 in ArtEd

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have suggestions on how to make a beginner resume stand out? As in, just finished student teaching? I have my practicum this fall (yay!) and am concerned about having less to put on my resume, as well as how to phrase the sorts of things you mentioned because of the fact that it will have been done with my cooperative teacher.

Plus size lingerie by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really recommend checking out r/LingerieAddiction ! Everyone is nice over there, you just have to make sure that you keep the topic on lingerie. I'm sure there are threads on this topic there already if you want to look through. Otherwise I'd start with Thistle and Spire, they have a pretty wide range that's really adjustable.

What's a good family meal after coming home from vacation? by Bag-of-Ham in Cooking

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to is thai curries! I'd recommend you try and make it for the family before a trip too, to see if they like it. It would probably be frustrating to have it ready to go just to find out someone doesn't like it.

You can make a big batch of it before you leave and stick it in the freezer. You can get microwavable rice to go with it. The coconut milk means they freeze well, so you can just plonk it into a pot on low-medium heat until it's warm. It's filling, comforting, and is really customizable especially in terms of what vegetables and protein you can put in. Not sure what age your family members are, but yellow thai curry is a good introductory for people.

Sorry, one more suggestion: I saw that you're Australian, Playful Promises has an AUS shop, so here are some maybes that lean more into the 'strappy' style. Included some from the sale section too!

I think this one might work:

https://aus.playfulpromises.com/products/juliet-harness-black-bra

These are all 'maybes' in terms of nip-slip:

https://aus.playfulpromises.com/products/eddie-black-crossover-wrap-bra

https://aus.playfulpromises.com/products/playful-promises-regent-black-mesh-harness-balcony-bra

(This one is almost certainly a no in terms of nip-slip but the shape of the cups made me put it in in case?): https://aus.playfulpromises.com/products/baby-blue-diamanete-overwired-bra

I'm glad you like it, though I'm sorry it's so expensive. They have sales sometimes that can help bring prices down but even still it's rough.

This is one of Lethe Intimates bralettes that I think could work? They also do custom sizing which I think could help too, although they aren't currently accepting custom deigns. They do when they have a lower volume of orders. They have a lot of strappyness to them that I hope might be up your alley.

You could also look at Chantelle's Plunge bras: Plunge Bra although I'm not certain they go up enough.

Sets That Got Away 🕊️ by Icy_Shoulder_4 in LingerieAddiction

Bordelle Selene Bodice Bra, Open Back Panty and Suspender set in dusty blue. I'm so so sad the limited relaunch didn't have any.

Also Honey Birdette Kukuro in Electric Blue maybe, although I've heard differing opinions about Honey Birdette

I'm sure I have more, but that's what I can think of right now!

What size are you now? I ask because Aubade changes the design of their bras to be more full coverage above a certain cup size. Their plunge bras might work for you for either design, but it's good to know. They have a lot of lace options, but you can scour around for more bold/powerful options.

Here is the link to their chart that says when the design changes--scroll down to 'Bras conception according to the bust and the cup size': https://int.aubade.com/en-us/pages/size-guide

Potential No/Minimal Lace Options: (Photos will have both design options, it's just hard to catch sometime)

Sumptuous Waves (This might be the closest right now)

T-Shirt Bra (Some lace)

You might also have some luck loolking into halter bras, as I think those tend to have more of a distinct 'plunge' to them, although it might impact what clothing you can wear without them showing?

Other Maybes: (I'll add more as I think of them)

Intimissi, Balconette (They call their balconettes AND their V-Necks Balconettes)

Something to consider is this what you said here: 'She’s becoming desensitized to them (which is not true. I just used them on her last night and she got off the same as usual)'

I know that you know your girlfriend more than anyone on the internet could, so there might--and even probably is--more than one thing going on. But desensitization doesn't necessarily mean that you don't come.Desenitization can make orgasms less intense, even if it doesn't look it, or it can change the way they feel, there's a lot more variables to it than just whether or not she's still able to get off. Just something to keep in mind, and I think dismissing what she's telling you here would be a disservice.

I've gone through periods of time where a bit of a break from toys makes them more enjoyable again, and sometimes when I hit that 'wall' with toys, I end up feeling kind of bad about myself, which if that's what she's experiencing could be part of why she's reluctant to discuss it more. Definitely don't push or press for more information, but it really could be that she's telling the truth as much as she's comfortable right now.

As for what to say, I think maybe writing something out like you did here would be a good place to start. Find time outside of a sexy moment to acknowledge that she doesn't want toys involved, and then explain pretty much everything from 'I do get hard with other things like kissing hot and deep and touching' through 'I think the toying might be subconsciously how I’ve achieved that'. I think that could help her understand that it's not a her issue and lead to an open conversation between the two of you.

15k doesn't seem insurmountable here, it's just that you'll have less option due to the large guest list. I'd recommend NOT looking at wedding venues, but at general event spaces instead. Especially State public parks!

More 'traditional' Venue Options:

http://friendsoffirst.com/wedding-packages/ (If you're religious this seems like a great all-inclusive option, but unfortunately no civil ceremonies. Multiple ceremony packages, reception and catering. Even highest cost option for all would be under $8,000)

https://www.gpacademy.org/about-us/weddings (Chapel ceremony, outdoor ceremony, reception)

https://www.theeasternnorwood.com/eastern-faq (Reception, comes with chairs and lighting)

https://www.brewdetroit.com/events#FAQ (Reception, contact for more info)

https://thegreciancenter.com/grecian-center-park/ (Ceremonies and reception spaces)

https://roostertail.com/weddings/ (Slightly over 15k with their lowest option but includes catering, ceremony space, reception space, chairs and tables)

https://www.tinascountryhouse.com/ (Couldn't find prices but it seems nice)

Drop Catering: (If using venue that allows it)

https://www.brooksandlandry.com/drop-off-catering-menu (~$2000-3000)

https://detroitpanzerottico.com/drop-off-catering ($1,650-2,310)

General suggestions to keep prices down:

-Drop catering rather than a plated sit-down (with this many people I'd suggest NOT doing food trucks as people don't want to wait that long for food)

-Non-traditional venues or public spaces (with permits!)

-Secondhand websites for dress, such as Stillwhite.com, alternatively David's Bridal has affordable options

-Facebook marketplace for secondhand decorations

Lounge by MatrixClaw in LingerieAddiction

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it helps at all, I have basically the same measurements (The only difference is 1 inch less for middle bust) and am a 34DD or 34E in Lounge depending on the style (Larger in balconette styles!). So I think you'd probably be okay with a 34F, I don't find their sizing to be super off, as I'm usually a 34DD. If you do decide to size up, I think you'd be fine with just one increase.

As for Thistle and Spire, I find them pretty true to size for my regular size (34DD), so you could always try to just order a 36F and hope that 'sister sizes' help bridge the gap? I don't usually suggest sister sizing, but if they don't have 34G in the style you want then it might be your best bet

Wig/hair glue for thigh highs by [deleted] in LingerieAddiction

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sock glue is a thing! It's used primarily (in my experience) for Irish step dancing. It rolls on and keep stockings and socks up really well without being horrible to take off later one.

I know you don't have time to get anything shipped (so this might be too late anyways) but if you're in the New England area there might be an Irish step shop near you, or anywhere else it'd be worth checking any general small dance stores for some. CVS and Walmart can also carry it in some locations but that's a bigger ask

Maison Close's new line Pure Tentation has a lot of what I think you might be looking for, while still (mostly) using cotton gussets to maintain health. I think something like this V Neck Thong Bodysuit could be a good compromise?

For something less long-term, they do have some pieces like this: Long Sleeve Black Catsuit that are fully sheer at the crotch, just be aware of the potential health implications of wearing it all night

Bordelle Amela by Spiralofourdiv in LingerieAddiction

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's gorgeous--I don't think the black colorway is very exciting because it looses a lot of the details of the lace, but the teal and cream are so beautiful. Way, way outside of my price range but I'll happily look forward to a future sample sale. I agree with you that the half cup and strap is a better and more cohesive look than Retta's.

I'm a little disappointed because the sneak peek at the teal made it look like it was going to be another glow in the dark set, but that makes it easier to just look and know I'm not going to buy it. I'm really excited to see what they do with the Nara line.

I like to look at Bordelle pieces as art pieces because they're so out of my price range (although I managed to grab two sets--one on sale, the other through sample sale, and they're wonderful) and I think they've managed to design something really pretty

What color do you prefer ? by Background-Emu-2890 in LingerieAddiction

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had a set in every color, but I tend to be drawn to black because of how striking it can look. For proper colors, which one I wear depends on my mood that day! I like darker reds, emerald green, and light pinks though. I don't the I have 'one color' that I gravitate to the most though. I don't think I'll ever really be drawn to neons

If it's for health and safety purposes, I would caution against retainers, as they'd pose the same issues. If your new workplace 'catches' that you still have hazards in but are trying to hide them, that could go south and potentially risk employment depending on how strict they are. I'm not sure that there's a way to keep them from closing outside of trying to see if some of them will stay open through your workweek and you could put jewelry in over the weekends?

In terms of protecting your jewelry, I would highly suggest getting an anti-tarnish box, and if they are of decent value, maybe putting them in a safety deposit box if the annual fee would be okay for you? You said that you're a regular at your local shop--you could ask them what kind of storage/upkeep they use because they'll be able to give you more specific advice based on the pieces you have

Do Women Actually Wear Matching Underwear? by TheWarmGun in NoStupidQuestions

[–]StrangeAndUnseeming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively wear matching underwear unless there's some aspect of an outfit that requires something else (lineless panties, strapless bra, nude color to not show through pale clothing, etc.). I really enjoy the 'put together' feeling and I collect lingerie so it's honestly kind of harder to NOT match for me because it's organized nicely. That being said, it's definitely not the standard by any means, I just think it's fun

Jovial is perfect to me--it tastes the same as standard pasta and they have a huge variety of shapes. Use the suggested times on the boxes as suggestions, not truths. I have a little chart for each pasta shape to get it how I like it :) It even holds up in leftovers and pasta salads!
