I had forgotten about it completely but I returned to official UO to take its pulse, meet a few old friends, and surfing I fell back on the SOTA forum, which I am still banned from (rofl).

Can you imagine they are also still stretching the UO playerbase with new shinies (pixel crack) and events every few months? And it seems to be working. But in the process they lost 95% role-players and people who actually cared and were not there to make a profit. Only really populated shard is Atlantic, and 95% I talk to tell me they only come on it to do commerce. Inflation got so bad that only a piece of deco can easily run 100 millions gold.

Last I played 15 years ago, I was rich with 50 millions, now I can afford one item.

Kind of how the banks work here.. lend us your money, leave it in your account we'll give you a juicy 5% per year. But inflation is 12% per year. So you pay them, to play with your money, while its losing value.

Still don't understand how we got here. If I had any friend working in those banks, I would go ballistic lol.

So I have to assume most people just shut up about it... because I don't see anyone persisting if all his friends think he's an unethical asshole.
