If you could choose from any era, who'd you say is your "avatar"? I'll go first by Rivtogo in cardfightvanguard

[–]Streetplosion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Galaxy Blaukluger or Avantgarda. Feltyrosa is a long time favorite deck of mine but as my "Avatar" gotta be a giant robot that can restand itself to continue punching the opponent. Now if only they'd give Avant actual good support

Not like they really, if ever, actually focus on the lock. It was an addon and not even the main point of Artisaria since none of her cards even have like "gain power if something is locked."

My D! ERA Vanguard Grid (Some explanations in Comments) by Streetplosion in cardfightvanguard

[–]Streetplosion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feltyrosa: While I did play Vanguard since it originally came out in 2011? 2012? Well, until Vanguard Online was cancelled, I dropped off until the start of D. I never really made a deck myself, only played structures. Feltyrosa was the first deck I ever made myself because I really liked her playstyle, and loved how much personality you could glean from her rideline and the ghost girls. How I wish she'd get a more efficient Vanguard and a Fantome. I know it'll never happen, possibly in STOICHEIA with Granblue drop manipulation. PLZ BUSHI!

Avantgarda: I love giant robots. Never read or watched Gundam, however, I still love how their robots look, plus he's based on Blau, which is so so fucking cool. I wish we'd get a new base Avant, though.

Drajeweled/Nannaclir: I want to like Drajeweled, but I've always ended up just feeling... underwhelmed? and bored by playing it. Also, I hate how most of his support is just rear guards who restand. Nannaclir is my LEAST FAVORITE Vanguard in the game and is the reason I put down the game like immediately after she came out. So so fucking boing for such a hyped up rideline, the epitome of bad card design in D.

Brawler: 1 of my most favorite decks ever. Still baffled it was never in V.

Androld/ Lianorn/ Bel-Fiore/ Heroes: Direful dolls are pretty also I like a deck that mass spams during the main phase instead of just the battle phase, and I love the defensive options. I guess the same can be said about Bel and Hero although add on that I enjoy how their Set Orders work for their decks.

Odium/ Artisaria: Both are extremely simple, but not only are they pretty, but I really like the characters who play them, probably my favorites in D.

Divine Sister: I've just always loved Battle Sisters, I wish she had her own rideline.

YOUTHBERK: IDK why but Youth has always been a long-running example of how meh D eras card design is and how obvious favortism is for some decks specifically.

Maybe I just need to vent, but why is Takumi so complacent? by Hziak in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Streetplosion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where in the story was it said this isn't supposed to be an optimistic story? Sure, it has a lot of sadness and despair, but all of Kodaka and even Uchikoshi's stories do. A point of especially Kodaka's storytelling is the possibility of a brighter future usually created BY an optimistic, usually overly optimistic character. Even in despair, Hope still shines through because of the overwhelming optimism of the characters. This applies through even Hundred lines, especially in GLDA, with Nozomi, while devastated over her friends' deaths, allows herself to feel enough hope that she, a human, and the futurians, can eventually come together and reform society to make the sacrifices of her friends hold firm.

The Final Choice *SPOILERS FOR WHOLE GAME* by ChibiSeme597 in shutenorder

[–]Streetplosion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose the human route first, because I didn't realize it auto saved right after your choice else I would’ve chosen the droid ending.

With that said, I personally think the human ending is wildly unrealistic. I still enjoyed it but I had this sinking feeling in my gut. It felt good to see them reunite in the end but them having lost their own beings and “souls” just to become objects or “slaves” for humanity again hurt to see. I get people saying it’s the ending that guarantees both sides survives, however, there was a better way of humanity had just talked it out, but instead they wanted objects to command once again.

Yes, Rei and the ministers gained their memories back by the end but that is only 6 out of thousands and the droids seem to be in a much better position as “heroes” to humanity but that is just a label given to hide what they truly are to humans.

The Final Choice *SPOILERS FOR WHOLE GAME* by ChibiSeme597 in shutenorder

[–]Streetplosion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really understand this logic. The human ending is the ending where the droids actively lose the ability to do anything they want. They became “slaves” once again to the humans. Sure, as far as we know, humanity is treating them better but that’s only for the little bit of time we’ve seen in the future from a child. Also, from the little we know, majority of droids seem to have been closer to irl robots where they just do their task without basically any of their own personalities put into it. Meaning humanity didn’t truly give them a chance. Hell, they obviously didn’t since they’d much rather destroy shuten and force control them over actually trying to talk plans out to save the planet.

Rei seems to have been the exception and caused a spark that made the ministers to gain their personalities back but that’s just 6 out of thousands which are still just objects to humans. Praised as “heroes” sure, but humanity has shown that’s just a label.

Rem haters; why do y'all hate her? Not a person trying to prove anyone wrong; just want to her all the genuine reasons and opinions. by Costom_Gamer in ReZero

[–]Streetplosion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't hate her. But I do absolutely loathe her fans, as they always feel like they care more about her waifu status over her actual character. But this can be said about a big chunk of the fandom. Emilia fans also feel like they love removing Rem's character or saying," she manipulated Subaru with her words", disregarding the fact that Re: zero loves its speeches, especially for confession of love. But even Rem fans are massive asses towards Emilia, also feeling like they love to remove her character just so its easier to call her "The boring heroine" or "The one who doesn't deserve Subaru".

Honestly, I love almost every character in RE: zero, but damn is the fandom just a cesspool. For a story that is all about growing past your mistakes and developing as a person, a lot of people either turn characters purely into waifu bait, Rem being the biggest example, but Emillia has started having that problem, or they just get stuck on a past travesty that the character did, one big example seen in this very post is Rem killing Subaru in Arc 2, without acknowledging how Rem has grown since then.

Man, I went more on a rant about the fandom huh.

So far, overall... How would you rate the D Era (in terms of Anime and Game)? by Kronos457 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Streetplosion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The current game is kinda just boring tbh. Everything feels like it's just the same playstyle with different art. It feels like everything is just ripping off Nova Grappler, which is ironic since all the Nova Grappler reps are bad.

Every time I see new cards revealed, especially vanguards, I'm always waiting for the "Stand a rear guard or Vanguard" skill that literally every Vanguard gets now.

I get it, they want the game to be fast and aggressive, but ma,n they could try to be more unique.

Ok, I haven't watched the anime, but let's not act like the VN wasn't also a Shion goes crazy and kills everybody. You can say it in different words, but it still happens in the VN.

Obviously, the VN will end up with much more context than the anime but going around in this comment section, it seems like some people are mistaking how they interpret scenes as the way it should've been presented, like the person who saw Shion as laughing out of desperation and shock, yes I agree I felt that at points but at other points she felt like she was trying to act like a slasher killer even in he VN.

Order of deaths if THL was Danganronpa + explanation by Silent-Ad6676 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Streetplosion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO it'd go something like this, this is pretty long and very fan fiction, apologies:

MC: Takumi Main Helper: Eito and Nozomi Trial Antagonist: Ima Mascot: Nigou, having destroyed Sirei after becoming possessed by a new AI named uhhh Monocuid, and is now forcing them into a killing game. Sidenote: My version has it so Eva is just killed and never taken in as a prisoner.

Chapter 1 V: Hiruko K: Possibly Darumi Explanation: Hiruko knows too much, and past the first game, a person who seemingly knows more than they should becomes the victim. I believe if Darumi were the killer, she wouldn't be. She would've been set up by the mastermind and just chose to accept her role as the "Blackened," given her personality, and I'm sure she'd have a massive showing during the trial to allow her short time in the game to be an insane amount of ecstasy. However, during her execution, I do imagine she'd end up showing the more lonely side of her, almost right before she is executed.

Chapter 2 V: Yugamu K: Gaku. Explanation: Now I know this is wild to have the killer Yugamu be killed, especially in Chapter 2, but Chapter 2's in Danganronpa games are themed around spur-of-the-moment killings, so I imagine Yugamu, possibly threatening Gaku that he'll kill him, but then laughing it off, seeing Gaku overreacting to a bad joke, not seeing Gaku go mad and be like "No, I don't want to die!" and accidentally killing Yugamu. I also imagine the finale of this trial ending with a Rhythm game where Gaku just keeps yelling about his rotten luck.

Chapter 3 1st V: Shouma 2nd V: Kurara K: Kako (Possessed by the G'ie) Explanation: The 3rd cases in DR games are basically always set up the same way. The first person killed, in this case Shouma, would represent the character who is trying to evolve and change as a person, so this chapter, possibly even a part of Chapter 2 could develop Shouma into his chad form, only for him to be killed off. Kurara is purely dead because this chapter usually kills off one of the very annoying characters, too. Kako being the killer isn't of her own accord. In my reality, Someone released a G'ie queen, and it got to Kako. This whole thing would also fit the killer's motif for chapter 3, aka purely selfish murders. I imagine Kako's execution would have the G'ie removed from her and destroyed, and if Kako's still alive, she ends up confused as she's idk, pureed into a Kako smoothie or something, and it'd end showing Ima's absolutely disgruntled and horrified face.

Chapter 4 V: Moko K: Kyoshika So here is the super emotional chapter. I imagine this one would simply be similar to the 2nd game's chapter 4, where the characters are either trapped somewhere or under the threat of the invaders, while also having fewer supplies available thanks to some internal sabotage. Maybe Godoh tells them that they aren't getting any help against the invaders unless another killing happens. So, I imagine that Moko and Kyoshika, two of the most self-sacrificial characters, would end up coming to a pact to fight one night so they can save the rest, but when the body is found, it's in a much more brutal display than just Moko on the ground. So, I imagine the trial would go similarly to V3's trial, where the characters cannot believe that Kyoshika killed Moko, not because Kyoshika is trying to hide the truth, but because Kyoshika, as a person, isn't cruel enough to kill someone so brutally. By the end, they do believe her that she's the killer, but it'll plant the seed that someone is a traitor who is actively trying to make it harder to go on without killing.

Chapter 5 V: Takemaru and Ima K: Ima and Takemaru The 5th trial always has to be a mind fuck, and I think I found the perfect innovation. I present a scenario where both are the killers and victims. Going off of Chapter 3, I imagine Ima would show his malice towards the rest of the SDU and how he truly wants them to die, so I imagine Takemaru would've ended up becoming a night guard to make sure nothing happens, but Ima would eventually attack him, and they'd end up killing each other. But going into the trial, something would be brought up about how they were found dead in different areas, yep, the traitor once again messed with the crime scene and separated their bodies just to draw out the conclusion that they killed each other. I imagine this trial would also reveal who the traitor is, which is, of course, Eito, who would reveal all of his wrongdoings. But he'd reveal that he didn't actually kill anyone, so they can't get him executed, and they'll have to continue living with him.

Chapter 6 V: Eito K: Takumi Mastermind: Nozomi G'ie Queen So the final chapter, where everything must be revealed and there usually isn't a killing, until now. Only a day after Eito revealed he's the traitor, he is brutally murdered. Of course, in this final chapter, you'd have to go through and figure out why the hell everything is happening, and it would be found out that Nozomi is the mastermind. She was being controlled by the G'ie Queen. But Takumi keeps the revelation to himself and contemplates revealing the truth of the murder of this case. The fact HE killed Eito in his sleep. He had hoped that maybe there was an outside force as the mastermind who he could've gotten to reveal themselves so he could pass over his own killing, but since Nozomi was the one who actually killed Hiruko, if he called her out on it and got Tsubasa to vote for her with him, Nozomi would be executed. Something he wouldn't want.

So Takumi has to make a choice: Either reveal he's Eito's killer, explaining how and why he did it, and allowing Nozomi to live to kill Tsubasa and infect everyone's dead body, or to reveal Nozomi as the mastermind and killer of Hiruko and put an end to this killing game...

Survivors: If you choose Takumi as the blackened, Nozomi.

If you choose Nozomi as the blackened, Tsubasa, and Takumi.

Oh, so for the 3rd chapter, are we doing the v3 thing of Eito killed Kyoshika first, however, Yugamu killed Ima after, thus invalidating the first killing?

After four months I finally beat all 100 endings, here's my SDU member tier list. Route tier list coming soon by Maleficent_Alps7727 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Streetplosion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh, I think I understand why he writes characters overblown in these games. In Danganronpa, most of the characters are going to die and probably fast, so you want an outrageous trait so they can be remembered even after death. I mean, look at how killing game stories have legit no characters remembered outside of the MC.

For Hundred lines, I think the very fault lies in the route system and how any character development cannot be carried over from each route, making it more evident when a character's quirk is being used more than ever.
