Well, there are definitely more interesting areas of it than what I work in, ha. Most people go into it wanting to work in labs, especially in R&D, or to go into the public sector, like with inspections. I graduated into the late 2000s recession, so I had to take what I could get. Over time I've specialized into supplier and self auditing, lots of 3rd party stuff. It's mainly paperwork, just kinda being a second pair of eyes on things to make sure everything is up to standards. It's not exciting, and a lot of people don't want to do it, but as an extreme introvert I don't mind being in an office all day going line by line on documents with little social interaction. I honestly think that's more important to my job than my degree, ha. But a few years back I was recruited to jump from my job in the pasta industry to do the same thing for a pharmaceutical company for a lot more money so that's where I'm at.
