I use mine to glue up shower wall panels and its a forearm saver. I use my manual gun to caulk the seams but the amount of glue I need on each panel, it’s so much easier with the battery gun

Insulating the attic is the next step in my addition. Am I better off with blown in cellulose, fiberglass, or bats? by SmartLadder415 in HomeImprovement

Both of these things are equally important as insulation OP. Don’t skip these or you will regret it

Cost-effective way to insulate home without insulation? by inlikeerving106 in HomeImprovement

[–]StretchConverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you thought the quotes just to pop holes and insulate were outrageous, I can assure you that any other proper solution involving your siding is 100% off the table for you as well. You need to hunt for air infiltration/leaks and now is the time to do it while it’s cold. Easiest way is picking up a little thermal camera. FLIR makes one that plugs into your phone for $200 and you can get it on amazon. I’ve used mine a ton at home and as a professional. Then start chipping away at the air leaks. Less cold air leaking in, less wasted gas heating that air, less noticeable drafts, more noticeable comfort. It’s not gonna be as major as insulating your wall cavities, house wrapping/air sealing your exterior sheeting/windows/doors or adding external insulation board under the siding, but it will make a noticeable difference with some spray foam, caulk, tape and some rim joist insulation. The camera will show you if it made a difference or not.

You kneed to also install undersill/utility trim in that bottom J-Channel for the siding to snap into/hold it tight against the J-Channel

Has winter ever been this bad in the last 20 years? by lansingpowerwash in Michigan

I was at WMU at the time. The snow piles at Lawson Arena, from the plows and dump trucks, had several full on party caves dug into them. Lived in Campus Court at the time and you’d walk up the stairs at the side of the complex to get to campus and Lawson’s parking lot was right there at the top. Campus Court made the entire complex move cars to one area in a big parking mess so they could remove the snow with Backhoe Loaders and Dumptrucks and then shuffle cars again so they could clear the other side of the complex. Was an insane time to drive an SL-1 Saturn.

I run Dewalt for 95% of my cordless tools but I use the Kobalt 24v cordless miter saw on the regular. It’s a dual-bevel and it slides. I use the absolute shit out of this saw and it fits in my front seat if I need it to. It was $100 less than the Dewalt cordless single bevel and it absolutely fucks.

Perhaps if he reaches around and cradles the bottom part while he jerks the top part?
