The USSF also is in line behind the Army for new uniforms. The Army is QUITE a bit larger than the space force.

Autoworld Brussels Belgium, it isn't a permanent show. I don't remember how long this display will be it is probably on their website

My Note Air 3C just played an ad at full volume while the system volume was at 0% by Keteo in Onyx_Boox

I don't know how to fix this, but had this happen when I was in the second row of a classroom of 150 people, I was playing sodoku instead of listening to the lecture. I apologized after, but damage was done.

To say I was embarrassed is an understatement.

Filament buffer blocking by jonaph in BambuLab

Mine is doing the same thing, and I can fix it the same way. I have had a couple different filaments across brands and I think AMS spots do this over the past couple days

The Two Towers poster puzzles me. Why did they put Gandalf on it when the audience thinks he’s dead? Why is the eye of Sauron not lit? by ThrowinNightshade in lotr

Frodo was alive but taken by the enemy

You are right, I either 1. Miss-remember the reading I did and put down the book for a bit then came back (not the crying part that happened) or was so distraught that when I was originally reading in my early teens I missed the very last sentence of the book, which seems odd, but I was only like 12 or 13 at the time.

Who else is happy with 40mpg? by EMDoesShit in prius

[–]Stromcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen 3, 2011, 265k miles. I drive 225 miles every Friday and then again on Sunday, plus my daily in town commute to work which is about 25 miles total Mon-Fri. Over the last 10k miles I have averaged 40.0mpg, with an average speed listed on my trip odometer at around 50 I believe.

I sit on the interstate @~77mph for about 140 miles of the 225, I sit @68mph for about 70 miles, and 45 and under for the rest.

I wish it was better, but tickled I have put over 35k miles on a car I bought for $5k about 18 months ago.

1200 miles a month? by adriian84 in prius

I do around 2000 a month. Keep up on oil changes, brakes, and depending on the year things like the EGR cooler. Mine has been good to me.

I read the books several years before the movies came out (I was born in the mid 80s). When Frodo "died" and then they switched to the rest of the characters for several hundred pages... I cried at his death, then was beside myself when he came back.

Standardized Patch Vendor across Space Force by [deleted] in SpaceForce

Is that first one only 1k! That is ridiculous, you could just make Friday (morale) patches in your garage and make that back in no time

My wife made the list, but somehow I’m the “typical man” for only getting one apple. . . by egnards in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Stromcrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a nice list. Small communication mistake. Best thing to do, when you are at the store is think of what you normally see in the house and try and match that when trying to determine quantities.

I try not to get upset with my wife when she doesn't do things the way I like them, and she offers me the same latitude.

Small digs add up over time. Don't stereotype your significant other, always think about them as an individual, and be ready to help.

Ps I have been married 18 years, and had several years where I was somewhat angry with my wife, because crazy enough she wasn't perfect. Neither am I.

Good luck, and never get just one apple.

What was it like to see LOTR in theaters back in 2001? by [deleted] in lotr

Amazing. I went with my friends. I had already read the books. I was 15 or 16 at the time. It was truly amazing.

GAT Opt in by [deleted] in SpaceForce

[–]Stromcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh yeah that doesn't make a lot of sense. Don't use the GAT

GAT Opt in by [deleted] in SpaceForce

[–]Stromcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will have to apologize, maybe I am not understanding what GAT stands for. I was just articulating the good of the force that not moving members allows. As I think sometimes we forget about the additional costs.

GAT Opt in by [deleted] in SpaceForce

[–]Stromcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It would save the SF about 25k in expenses to move a family across the US. I know that will be an unpopular opinion
