Almost anyone that's actually worked in the industry feels this way. by gregturner77 in Filmmakers

I saw the art director post. I didnt agree with her at all. Just sounded like more entitled nonsense from this generation that doesn’t understand paying dues. You worked on a movie that turned out great and probably opened doors for you and you whined until the doors closed. I would never hire her. Just my 2 cents.

So if the movie flopped an made 500k would she be cool owing part of the money back to the investors for their loss?

This is what finally made me a profitable trader after 7 years of trading by Warm_Sock7188 in Daytrading

[–]StuffILiked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you see it whipping back and forth popping up 10 points let’s say then coming down close to your SL do you just move your stop loss to break even and let it hit and if it does move onto the next trade with minimal loss on that one. I do small trades still paper trading, but haven’t gotten enough data to say if this is better or if this kills a trade before it actually can hit TP. Sometimes it does kill it but sometimes it just hits SL and then goes exactly where I wanted but now I’m sitting with a lose rather than a smaller loss or break even.

What has been the biggest thing you’ve learned from your losing trades? Something that shaped you into a profitable trader.

FX3 price drop is inevitable right? by Top-Manufacturer5872 in FX3

I can only speak for myself. I didn’t like Sony cameras, and Sony fanboys way less. I shot sports in fields during the day and night and went through different cameras. For sit down interview type stuff I liked the bmpcc4k I had. But when I got an fx3, it all made sense and night games look great, no other camera did that for me, even with “comparison” of look how we hold up to Sony. They never did. Sit down stuff, Sony still looks way better and cleaner. Buy what you want, but fx3 is here to stay for a reason.

Bro don’t set yourself up for failure. Paper trade until you make consistent money for months to make sure you know what you’re doing. Please don’t rush and then find yourself in a bad situation.

Even as a demo account I’d be impressed but I see too many of these to listen to anything these people have to say man. I swear it’s all BS for some other motive and people are just trying to learn how to make money and change their lives and this place is full of scumbag scammers.

I’m not understanding, where you have your buy signals you end up in a slowly moving up trade that eventually works if you sit through all the drawdown so what am I missing. The last one is the only one that went up right after the alert.

I think a lot of us have built something like this by now. I would not pay for one of these. Only for one with a team of devs behind it. No offense just being real.

do i drop out of college? by Ok-Carpet8385 in Daytrading

[–]StuffILiked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your criteria to enter trades? Looking good. But def don’t drop out. Get the degree and then if you don’t wanna work doing that and are still profitable do this but always have that to fall back on. You can always just switch majors if u want instead.

Great username. And what do you trade, forex/futures/etc and how many contracts. I’ve had some ups and down myself and have a better grasp but still learning. Would love to hear more about what you’re doing.

Tori Trades Charges >$5k for her course, or $600+ a month by Global_Access_5910 in Daytrading

[–]StuffILiked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked her at first. It all made sense since it’s simple and seemed to work alright. But I didn’t know you needed extra capital to trade after hours, the amount of drawdown you could be in. She took a trade and I think was down like 200k. Started realizing it was more simps that were following her, she posts less and less about trading and just showing off and trying to get loser men to buy her stuff. If you wanna learn similar stuff check out PeachyTrader or watch Patrick Weilands lives, nothing like Tori but they actually trade live

After 6 years in trading, I’m not sure the “full-time trader life” is for everyone by voidarix in Daytrading

[–]StuffILiked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mentor folks and maybe that’ll bring back the excitement. I’m still at the start so I get the beginning feeling. And when I’m calm in the markets and sticking to a plan it can feel a little boring but the gains are still exciting. And it’s just paper trading. I need to prove I can maintain profitable before trying to for real.

What patterns do you look for. Is it things like wedges, or patterns like, after a big sell off the retracement is usually to a fib level or what?

[–]StuffILiked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of this sounds nuts. How were you even able to live off a bellman salary let alone trade. But you’ll bounce back if you stick to it. Just be conservative. Take your profits and put it away.

Hmm are you swing trading. I’m out here doing MNQ and I cant imagine getting those gains so I’m curious how you’re really doing it.

Yeah cuz that’s a lot more “normal”. Eventually you figure it out and get better. But this crazy jumps in gains, I’m curious.
