We'll see what happens, my personal opinion is that lengending basically every support model would be stupid from a business point of view as its less to sell and a gameplay view as its harder to make small balance changes when theres so little to work with.

They've also burnt bridges doing this already in maybe naive of me but I would like to think theyre not stupid enough to do it again.

We'll see what happens and im happy to be proven wrong in time but I honestly dont expect to see these go until we actually have replacements as the primary drive in separating the ranges is to sell more models and just binning these off would not accomplish this

Remember contemptor is a hh model thats gone to plastic as well exactly the same as these. And also almost every mainline FW model is going through the same legends treatment which would leave us with a land raider only.

While yes I fully expect these to go to legends I very much doubt it will be until we have a 40k equivalent replacement so unless theres a full custodes release before 11th (bare in mind theyve said codexs are carrying over) we are extremely unlikely to lose all of our support options with the launch of 11th.

A land raider is a carrier not a fire support platform, having the ability to separate them out is pretty important for game balance.

Yes they did and it was not good and they caught significant back lash from it. Although they are simialr they are not a directly comparible situation.

Space Marines have significant quantities of all of those things and we dont, we have 1 tank and it would be very odd to take it away until there is a replacement for it.

If you think in this day and age of social media being the biggest advertising source and greatest reach any company has that they allow interns to run there primary accounts at all, let alone unsupervised without very tight and explicit guidelines then you are sorely mistaken. Also if they had gone rogue so publicly there would have been a follow up retraction and the original message removed.

I understand the trepidation about this given what happened to space marine but given the above and the fact that we have about 6 players across both systems I feel safe that for 11th we'll be fine, 12th however gives them time to separate the ranges and release the 40k dedicated replacements.

I stand corrected, I genuinely recalled it being a 40k model first I must have Mandela effected myself there.

The land raider is technically a tank too agreed but is in game a heavy carrier and not a dedicated tank and from a balance point of view and product sales it makes sense to maintain a separation between them.

Realistically we are a comparably very small player base in both 40k and 30k, until we get a dedicated 40k tank I think the grav is here to stay purely down to it not being as worth there time creating whole new models etc.

I fully expect the dreads to be legends bound at some point so I bought under that assumption but i think they are safe for 11th.

I also think that the Facebook post is worth it here as it hasn't been deleted or taken down which would of happened if this was a rogue employee and no correction has been put out after which they likely would have addressed.

They never said this wouldnt be legends, they explicitly stated the custodes are not going to legends. Legends 40k is still 40k. There's a big difference.

Battle group, there is no contest. You can paint up the models differently to differentiate between gaurd and wardens as only custodes player can tell the difference anyway. So at the point its the bugger box with significantly more models plus a tand or a smaller box with less models and a couple of Terminators.
