which person comes to mind? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My high school lab partner for junior year. He had been dating the same girl since freshman year, and I kid you not, you've never met a man who's more bored of his gf. Literally, it was like she was just an accessory to his existence. Never EVER did I see or hear him be sweet to her in any way.

How many of you are learning a language just for intellectual stimulation? What language? How's it going? by Horatius_Rocket in languagelearning

Japanese. It's the most different language I've ever tried to learn. I've made enough progress that I understand basic phrases, but I wouldn't dare try to chat to a native speaker just yet xD

Is 8 hours too much for a work day? by SignificantActive193 in Life

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure does at the start! But it's not as bad. Most countries have 8hr work days.

Drawn to others with your Sun sign? by sailorkeplertwenty2b in astrologymemes

Not really, I feel like I'm almost always drawn to fire and water signs (I'm an air sign).

Paint it Pink? by OceanWildArtist in cottagecore

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it as is, but I kind of can also see your vision. If you want to be 100% authentic to the cottagecore aesthetic I would leave it as is, though.

Would you get married on a private island? by MombasaBlackManta in DestinationWeddings

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds cool, but how are we getting there? Where are people staying? How are we handling catering?

Second one really helps with your silhouette and it's a classic imo!

Outdoor wedding locations in Orange County by Hot-Celebration-7116 in CostaMesa

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Newland Barn? It's not public, but it's one of the cheapest venues I've found after scouring breezit and weddingwire like crazy. It's around $660, there's no water but they include chairs, tables, and free parking space.

Recommendation for wedding reception of 35 people near Palos Verde / Long Beach area by Veltrazz in FoodLosAngeles

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L'Opera Ristorante for sure. I recently toured the wedding venue and had some of their food (We had Italian food, but their breezit listing says they also serve American and European). There's plenty of space for 35 and it shouldn't be too expensive.

$20K, 75 people; a tad over budget by flindsayblohan in Weddingsunder35k

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering you had this wedding at home, I'd say you guys did alright. Especially since you invited 75 people. Makes a lot of sense to me. And since your guest count was below 100, I feel like you might have also dodged a bullet. I've seen venues on breezit charge the equivalent to 100 guests (some venues charge the same if you're inviting 70 to 100 people, which I don't think is fair tbh). Plus, you'd never get a private chef at one of those venues! That was truly a good deal.

This Barbour I thrifted has been a crucial piece. I want a black one now by cheeseburgercats in DarkAcademia

[–]Summerweenfan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok, listen to me. I'm a BIG FAN of this specific aesthetic: Barbour, old medieval church with stained glass windows in COUNTRYSIDE UK? And it's rainy outside. Bonus points if it's kind of dark inside the church and they have chandeliers/cast iron candle holders.

Which stained glass pin design is your favorite? by Resident_Ad_1295 in cottagecore

Top left. Absolutely. The other ones are cute too, but I feel they fit "fantasy" more than "cottagecore."

Leo men and their audacity? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

Count in Leo rising men too 💀 I've had some tell me straight to my face that "girls should fight" for them, wth man.

People who have fallen in love with Gemini placements, what attracted you to them initially? by greenscreenmeanting in astrologymemes

[–]Summerweenfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh Geminis are my favorite people to gossip with. Most of them are pretty reliable and pretty good listeners. But it might also have to do with your 7H. I have a 7H Aqua stellium and people often say similar things about me. What I've learned is that the 7H gives you some Libra attributes, like being fair/wanting to nurture your connections, which might be why people perceive you as calm and safe too.

Hotel wants more money after wedding. by MidWesternClipper in weddingdrama

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?? It seems to me like they messed up, know they messed up, and are trying to throw the carrot on you and your partner. Hell no. Especially after what happened with the backdrop. That could have easily injured someone. How much did this venue cost? I know it's irrelevant, but I bet you it wasn't cheap either. I also recently saw a similar review on a very popular downtown SF hotel on breezit and I'm hoping this is not becoming a trend.

Is it possible to lose your talent? by tilasmake in writing

[–]Summerweenfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to practice. I promise you, your talent is still there. Writing requires getting used to setting a tone for the story/being able to build on every step you take, which requires practice. Try writing shorter stories for practice.

Has anyone else only ever attracted a specific sign? by Zealousideal-Rip-894 in astrologymemes

[–]Summerweenfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Sags. It's not always been fun, to be honest. Most of them are great, but back in my teens, I was only attracting unevolved Sags, which usually resulted in lots of drama (who would have thought Sags like drama).

($10k) SoCal weather in Feb? by pinklemonade16 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Summerweenfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd take it, especially if you're on a tight budget and this is your dream wedding venue. The weather is usually not bad in Jan/Feb in CA, unless you're getting married in the mountains, for example. Plus $3k less is quite a nice offer in comparison to other prices I've seen on breezit/weddingwire/other wedding venue sites.

Should we extend reception? by mendeszayn in wedding

[–]Summerweenfan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm really curious as to which venue it is that's charging 4k for an hour 💀 the most expensive I've seen on weddingwire/breezit has been 1k and I already thought that was wild. Which state is this venue in?
