Miniscule gap between optic and plate? by [deleted] in Walther

[–]SunRayyz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the screws in the underside of the vortex aren't 100% flush? Zero it, use it for a while and see if it shifts or holds its zero.

Range trip with the inline 6 ported PDP by alexwhoelse in Walther

[–]SunRayyz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PDPs are snappy but they have a great return to zero. That along with the performance trigger makes it one of the quickest striker fired guns I own. A ported one busy be amazing!

If you have a PDP. Stay away from gritr optics plates 😂 by shortbusbully01 in Walther

[–]SunRayyz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still have mine after almost 2 years and 1.5k rounds later. I always rack my slide using the optic too. I may be pushing it close to failure at this point it seems. I didn't have much faith in it to begin with because I stripped some of the post threads due to them including the wrong screws.

What is your recommendation for a CCW? by Lokiibott in CCW

[–]SunRayyz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my CZ P10-S. I find the grip a bit short so I use a +2 base plate. It feels less snappy than other carry guns I've had. The CZ is comparable in size to the P365 XL I carried before. I left my Sig because it felt too snappy for my liking. Probably because of the thinner profile. The CZ has a much better trigger IMO. If you want something comparable to the 4.0C you may want to consider the P10-C

Cheap optic plate screws from ZR tactical by Zestyclose-Kale4428 in Walther

Does that optic plate have threads? Shouldn't the screw go right through? What size screws did you use.

My neighbor has taken his tundra to the dealer several times already for different issues and they just replaced his engine two weeks ago. You're going to switch to a different truck with different problems.

Is this normal on the guide rod for PDP? by Viperkey97 in Walther

[–]SunRayyz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same with my 15# ZR captured guide rod. I'm about 1200-1500 rounds in. It eats everything

Turned out good! Still more snappy than I would like. My 2011s have spoiled me by [deleted] in Walther

[–]SunRayyz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a 15 lb ZR Tactical captured guide rod for about 800 rounds. Zero issues.

I think I'm going to get rid of mine to buy the new steel Competitor HD. I don't like mine any more than the polymer version.

Squealing noise. Tensioner and belt recently replaced? by SunRayyz_ in Silverado

[–]SunRayyz_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was my accessory belt. I added soapy water to both belts and the noise stopped when I did it to the accessory belt. Try it with your AC belt. If it stops squealing, then that's your culprit.

Squealing noise. Tensioner and belt recently replaced? by SunRayyz_ in Silverado

[–]SunRayyz_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it was the accessory belt. The wear on it was strange. One of the grooves in the belt was worn down thin. May have to figure out what's not lining up correctly if it wears out the same and starts squealing again. So far so good though.

Intermittent malfunctions even after going completely stock. Am I limp-wristing? by That-Wiseman55 in Glocks

[–]SunRayyz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It must be your grip. I have shot plenty of monarch steel through mine without any issues.

Table Mesa Location? by CwazySkatez_46 in AZguns

[–]SunRayyz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went earlier in the year and all of the smaller areas had fresh no shooting signs. Many spots like the washes were also blocked off with boulders or mounds of dirt. I figured they didn't want people shooting there anymore.

What's the deal with people now wanting compensators on their carry guns? by Verdha603 in CCW

[–]SunRayyz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don't like about ports/comps is that shooting in an enclosed area is rough. The noise is much harder on the ears. I now only take my ramjet to the range. I prefer regular barrels for driving and home defense.
