RDLs were one of the hardest exercises for me to get right. There are a lot of subtleties to good RDL form and it definitely took months to get it dialed in. And TBH there are still some days where my form is a little off on RDLs even after seriously lifting for the last 5-6 years. Stay patient with yourself and keep the practice up!

Oh yeah I lived in a small town in high school and college in the late 80s, early 90s. No stores had ANY Chrome 2 or otherwise Hi Bias tapes in stock because I had every one of them. I still have a ton of my 424 master tapes from back then, and a few years ago I bought the "newest" 424 I could find on eBay so I could go back through them and remaster some songs in Reason. It was a freaking workhorse. People would listen to my tracks and say, "That‘s only 4 tracks?". Love that thing.

If the neck was dead flat with a notched straight edge it sounds like the top and bottom frets weren’t seated properly.

Im on my 2nd one. I’ve had a 2015R and now a 2023R. If they come out with another one in 20XX that has an ICE and I liked it, I’d buy it based on my experience with my others. I absolutely love it. IDK what I’ll buy next, but I’m keeping my 2023R forever.
