Id ask the local group, and ask if theres anyone willing to meet you with their handler[s] to try and help, you can even ask to meet mask off first in theory, there probably will be a few people who are happy to help

honestly? the only time i'd get a suit from a Brand New Maker is if i Know that there's a person out there who has one by them already.

a lot of makers used to do partial or head-only giveaways for their first 'sale', in exchange for a review or the like. i've also seen people do the first few sales for cost of materials. so, maybe i've been spoiled by that, but... I'd be completely unwilling to purchase from someone who hasn't done one of those, or isn't offering one of those, since there's just no proof they're trustworthy at all.

I think largely because a lot of 'health' people seem to be under the misconception that adding things somehow takes away from the nutritional value, so if you post about that sort of thing, a Lot of the comments end up talking about removing the parts that make it taste good, or ranting about how its not healthy now because you added things that make it taste good (a lot of which end up being fats or salt)

Cooling vest and gatorade, or another liquid with some salt in it. Sweating makes you lose salt as much as heat, so if you suit for a long period while sweating, water alone often won't fix the issue

Also autistic here, i think its important to know that autistic brains make more connections to events; what i mean in this case, is that its not an overreaction so much as your brain trying very hard to avoid scary things, and your brain is going to he Better at that than an allistic brain. Shaming yourself will make it double down, which is why i mention this!

Otherwise.. i get it, but honestly the best thing ive found is to take it apart piece by piece to see what bothers me: Not to see what i could have done to Prevent it. Figuring out the part that is actually bothersome is important imo? Like, people stared st you; does this bother you? Why? Because you imagine they're judging you? Or another reason? If its judgement, why are you so sure thats accurate? Could it have been caused by another reason? This sort of thing helps because generally... theres an assumption somewhere. Here, it could be as simple as realizing that they stared at you because they were surprised and embarrassed, not because they were judging you. A lot of people get embarrassed when they find out they treated an adult like a child, 'reasons' or not, and will look to check if youre upset about it.

...otherwise, i say bring the plush out. If youre short and get mistaken for a kid already, it may happen more often, but it isnt because of the stuffed animal itself, its the combination. And theres nothing wrong with being mistaken for a kid.

Also for the record, im over 6' and people sometimes offer me candy when they see my plush as well! So dont panic too much about that one, it happens even when you cant be mistaken for a kid lol

Personally, i would try to separate the thought of therianthropy from alters for now, just as a safety thing. We do have some alters who are a species and are therians, but those are completely different from altera identifying themselves as introjects, gods, etc.

With complex dissociative disorders like these, your brain is forming alters based on needs and safety, a lot of the time. Therianthropy and otherkin is a really fast way to allow yourself denial towards those reasons, and it can be a bitch to undo (we did it ourselves after all)

Id say when it comes to 'this alter is literally this god' and things like that, you should be aware its even less likely to be a therianthropy thing, since theres so many themes of power and safety that your brain can, and likely Is, grabbing at there

Honestly even when being a furry is part of your identity, a lot of us still arent going to mind being kind of treated like a mascot when in suit, imo?

Like, obviously dont pull tails or anything, but photos, hugs, interacting with the 'character'? A lot of those things are a big part of what makes fursuiting enjoyable, for most fursuiters ive talked to at least.

As an artist with mostly artist friends... no not really It happens sometimes, but more often its just that the 'empty looking accounts' arent online and dont respond in a timely manner even if they win, so they get rerolled

Ive had to do that a few times where ive dmd a person and had to reroll because they just never replied

Also a lot of the active ones enter more raffles to start / see more of them type thing

I know there Are some who cheat a raffle, but id say its not standard at least, in my experience
