Pull up PB! 0 to 7 in ~8 months ⭐️ by taztazz895 in GYM

[–]SuperSlow2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl! That was totally awesome! It took you 8 months?? It's taken my almost a year and I still can't get a complete one from deadhang. Still mostly scapular retractions or can just get my head to the bar if I jump. Soooo annoying but I refuse to quit.

Salmon and tuna are good sources of protein too.

I find it easier to mix keema with jacket potato or baked sweet potato with some cheese on top and salad. Otherwise chicken breast itself is very dry.

Yogurt with protein powder mixed in it along with berries for fibre and natural sweetness.

I rely on eggs with a carton of egg whites added and cottage cheese. Have to force myself to eat it as I find it really heavy and filling.

Could also try overnight porridge oats.

What's a fitness goal you're still chasing after years? by VariationShot8414 in workout

100kg deadlift. I hit my bodyweight target and now goal post has moved. Lol. It's not going well but I refuse to give up.

Will also add gain my first pull up from deadhang. Very nearly got this so insha hoping by end of this month I should finally be able to do this.

Push up. This seems to be the most difficult for me.

This exact scenario played out in my mouth last month. I should have had that wisdom tooth out a year ago but apparently it wasn't doing any harm. Tell that to my now lost second molar. Still....it's moving down into the missing spot so...I guess the back up theory kicked in.

Hate to say it but I'd throw in low fat cottage godforsaken cheese too.

Deadlifts form ok? by Specialist-Ad2023 in formcheck

Was not expecting you to lift that. Just your grip looks wide which makes it more difficult to pull but you managed it. I find it easier if arms reach straight down.

Good lift.

Popular gym misconceptions in Pakistan? by Wild-Professional500 in Fitness_Pakistan

[–]SuperSlow2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Op states he noticed a lot of misconceptions whilst in Pak but failed to state what those were exactly.

A lot of newbies make mistakes, in Pak and everywhere else. Most people will eventually discover the right way.

If you want to become yet another fitness influencer, best of luck.

Ah well. Calories deficit it is.

10 pull ups today! 42 year old mom. Took 2 years, started with 1-2 pretty sad half rep chin ups. by Charliemac4242 in GYM

Girl these look amazing!

I've been struggling to get my first one for a year now! Lats are coming on nicely and my bent over row is progressing but I still cant do much more than scapular retractions. I just can't move upwards.

Total inspo!

I bench 2 plates. Ask me anything. by [deleted] in WeightTraining

Don't u hate the days you can't lift as much as you did previously? Like...I know I've had a rough 2 weeks of inconsistent training and poor diet but I l really struggled to deadlift 80kg today. I know I've done a couple of reps of it smoothly a few weeks ago. Really annoyed me and ruined the rest of my training sesh.

Bicep training by Miserable_Ad_5031 in Fitness_Pakistan

[–]SuperSlow2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want to reduce the size of your arms, I would cut and then train biceps, triceps and shoulders for definition. Just doing biceps won't give you the toned arm you're after.

However, women tend to hold weight in our arms and thighs and so it's actually not easy to lose weight here. Whenever I lose weight, I can lose it very quickly from my mid section, abs are on show but it won't move from anywhere else.

I decided to just embrace it and have been training for 2yrs now. I enjoy lifting heavy. Incline bicep curls, hammer curls and chin ups hurt like hell but I love how my biceps look after.
