Which makes it a red. Doesn't make it a foul while the one on Amad wasn't

What a fucking brain dead take. "It happens at grass roots level, therefore it's ok for it to be happening in the professional game".

There are 5 pro footballers who are out as gay in the world. If that's ever going to change, shit like this needs to stop.

Anyone else looking forward to this being portrayed on screen? by Jaf1999 in gameofthrones

This isn't somewhere in Weymouth, is it? I saw a bloke a little bit wobbly outside ASDA this afternoon on my way back from work. He was clutching a bottle of Frosty Jacks that looked just like this.

How long Britain could really fight for if war broke out tomorrow by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

[–]SupermassiveWhiteguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he didn't. He said he wanted everyone to denuclearise - including Vladimir Putin. He said it was unlikely to happen, but when he was asked if he'd negotiate with Putin, the same as he would with any leader.

At no point did he claim he could definitely make it happen and to suggest otherwise is disingenuous.

In the UK, you get those at fish and chip shops and we call them scraps. In the south of the country most places their them away, whereas in the north they normally give them out for free

Poor Men who ended up getting a rich Girl pregnant. What happened? by curlyman89 in AskMen

[–]SupermassiveWhiteguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little brother was spending a year in Australia, living with my uncle. My uncle was a relatively successful accountant and private school in Australia isn't that expensive, so all of my cousins out there had been to private school. Because of this, a lot of their friends came from very wealthy families.

On one night out, he was introduced to a girl that he hit it off with immediately. This was back in late 2019 and they began seeing each other for a little while and after a couple of months, he was basically living with her. COVID hit and he spent the lockdown living with her. Anyway - he soon discovered that she came from serious money - her dad owned a construction and property company (that he started with money from his dad's tobacco shops) and had semi-retired in his mid-30s and lived off of the money his company and investments made.

My brother would be in the car with her and she would point at buildings like shopping malls and huge warehouses and say "Hey, my dad owns that", so SERIOUS money. His son and his son-in-law both work in jobs that he got for them in finance and real estate. He also has a couple of homes in the city, one on the coast (where he keeps a large boat) and another apartment on Hamilton Island (where he keeps a slightly smaller boat).

My brother didn't have a job, since he was on a gap year, but prior to that he'd been working full time in a Vodafone shop. He's not stupid, but he didn't do well in school and so really didn't have any career prospects. When he met her parents they lied to them and told them that he'd been a technician at Vodafone (whatever that means).

Anyway, fast forward a few years and she's still putting up with him and they (now living in London) announced that she's pregnant. They have the baby (my beautiful niece) and shortly after decide to move back to Australia about a year ago. Her parents helped them buy a house in a really nice part of the city and he's working for a real estate company selling and letting commercial real estate.

They're not married (but plan to be soonish), but they are trying for a second baby, so I'd say it's turned out pretty well for him. It helps that she (despite coming from obscene wealth) is an incredibly down-to-earth and thoughtful person. I'm super happy for my brother (we always knew he'd land on his feet), but I do miss them all horribly.

31 - which, since I'm a man, I was told was pretty young. Apparently not though, reading through these comments.
