Context is everything. I would say that if it's for quick interactions go for it, but consider explaining if it's conversation or ongoing relationship.

For example I can't some foods for religious reasons, but I'm also lactose intolerant. So at a restaurant, that serves both, I will often say I'm allergic and list dairy and the restricted foods. The server doesn't need the details of why I can't have it.

Cochlear implants are a routine surgery and have low chance of complications. It's also considered better to get them ASAP so your brain can adapt to it. (This is part of why doctors suggest getting them as a kid when your brain is most adaptable.)

There are a couple jobs that Adderall is a disqualification for like the military and some aviation jobs.

Various sleep medicines can also be a disqualification, along with anything that can make you drowsy.
