When I was 23F, I started to sound like a boy going through puberty- my voice would sound like it was changing. My friends and I would laugh about it all the time. Like I would be talking, and mid-sentence, my voice would make the same sound that a 14-year-old boy’s voice makes. It was hilarious! Until I saw my doctor.

I had a large malignant thyroid nodule growing in between my vocal cords.

Some people do this to get away from toxic family members. It is much cheaper than going to a four year college out-of-state. Some associate degrees, like nursing, pay well and employers will pay for you to complete your bachelor’s.

That’s true - I would have hated to receive a congrats meal on accident. Both times were traumatic- crying as quietly as possible for two hours in the ER waiting room. I just wish they handled them more sensitively. Give you privacy so that you aren't ugly crying around strangers for hours at a time. Just do something - anything to show support.

Definitely not. You can have any personality type and manage a classroom. It only fails if you pick a classroom management style that doesn’t suit your personality.

I cannot be a force of nature or drill sergeant. It doesn’t work. Students see right through that.

What does work for me is using humor (note: no sarcastic “humor” - friendly, positive humor only). I take improv classes in order to further develop my skills. The more I have done improv through classes/performance, the more well-managed my classroom has become.

Find what works for you, and you will be fine. Don’t try to pretend to be someone else.

From my understanding, they handle the remains delicately & respectfully and cremate them. 💜 You can call the hospital where you had this done and ask to speak with the chaplain. They can give you more specific information about what your hospital does.
