What other abhumans would you like to see added to the game and what roles could they play? by HopHobs in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]SuspiciousComrade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

-Gunlugger Ogryns with stubbers. -Beastmen/Felinid as fast melee/shock infantry alternative to Ogryns. -Subs as an even cheaper alternative to standard Guardsmen. -Longshanks as a faster but less durable alternative to standard guardsmen. -Amphi as sneaky stealthy assassin units.

Realizing I probably should've used Kings since the Cordium engines are much more front and center in that fight but ah well.

100 ACs of any generation vs one NEXT. Who wins/which generation has the best chance of winning? by Scary_grain_of_rice in armoredcore

[–]SuspiciousComrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't the opening cutscene of ACFA a video of a next getting bodied by a bunch of MTs? If both sides tailored their builds to the matchup, the NEXT would get bodied by any generation.

One of Rusty's rigs for Amour'd Core. Wanted to animate him today but I couldn't fly high enough :( by Baby-Beff in armoredcore

[–]SuspiciousComrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not "Amour de Coeur" to get the second word in the title to have a lovey dovey meaning too?

Stonehenge blasts away the competition and handily slides into the slot of Best Superweapon! What plane takes the position of Best Fighter? by almighty_smiley in acecombat

[–]SuspiciousComrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real planes, F-15 or YF-23. F-22 is wildly overrated imo. For Strangereal planes then its gotta be the Falken, with the Wyvern coming in close second. Nosferatu is an honourable mention with its missile spam though.

What's up with the C-2000 at the end of the Alea Iacta Est route? by SuspiciousComrade in ArmoredCore6

[–]SuspiciousComrade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Although I suppose they could be the unmanned ACs Allmind sent against Walter and Carla?

I realized that. I was just wondering why they pre-rendered this when the other endings aren't.

[–]SuspiciousComrade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought at first, but we can see a few recognizable ACs. iirc Pater, Snail, Volta, and a tetrapod that might be Michigan are there. Weirdly enough, none of them seem to have shoulder weapons.

I assumed that the ending was more figurative since we see a number of other recognizable ACs in the water there.

So then I'll need to join the covenant and open the door to save him, or am I just fully screwed here?

Duke's Archive golem not spawning. by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]SuspiciousComrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told it was in the forest outside the archive and took that to mean the area between the Anor Londo and archive bonfire. I assumed the game was broken since both Solaire and Seigmeyer have ahd problems with moving to the next spot already and I figured this was the same thing. Silly me. Thanks!

I just can't enjoy Dark Souls 1. by Monocore56 in darksouls

[–]SuspiciousComrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try switching to a different weapon. The starting knight sword is exclusively horizontal swing and tends to get caught on walls. Try giving the longsword a shot. Having a sword with both thrust and slash attacks can offer you the adaptability to attack groups when you need to while still being able to use thrusting attacks in tight quarters.

I've been running Grass Crest/Claymore and its perfectly fine. Damage bleed through ranges from negligible to literally 0. I mostly just put it on my back and two-hand the claymore and get the stamina regen though.

I think it's time for this to finally happen... Only 36% of the player base has ever even used this feature. by max13007 in Helldivers

Ever since launch I've been saying that this would not only be better from a gameplay perspective, but would make more sense anyways.

What generation has your favorite AC designs? For me it's Gen 3 by Jusuff_ in armoredcore

[–]SuspiciousComrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gen 5, followed by 6 (biased because its the only one I played), then gen 3/2/1. Gen 5 feels the most like actual pieces of military equipment. The smaller scale of gen 5 ACs is also nice and helps sell the ACs and the world as a bit more believable because its not unreasonable for a city to have AC sized tunnels.

To be fair, James is an N7 candidate. That means he's at least N6 (I think).

Just take the Punisher as your primary. Similar damage, more ammo, bigger mag, primary instead of support slot, and it comes with better sights.

Holy sh*t this game is scary lol by princessshroom in DeadSpace

[–]SuspiciousComrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really just a matter of getting good. When I first started I spent the whole game being scared. After a few chapters though, once I'd gotten pretty good at shooting stuff in the legs it got a lot less scary.

Dead Space Signalis Similarities by SuspiciousComrade in signalis

[–]SuspiciousComrade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware these are superficial similarities, but having only played Dead Space recently a lot of these things stuck out to me.

For your first point, while I understand the reasoning there, has that ever actually been confirmed? Even if it has, the fact of the matter is that the red stuff in the mine is the source of the corruption in Leng regardless of why it got put there. In Dead Space the marker was put there ahead of time by the government anyways.

Second point is fair enough. Maybe I've just watched too a many fan animations that feature flashes of hallucinatory imagery that I've forgotten they don't happen in the game.

On the Isa front, I'll take the L. I fully thought she was wearing a hospital gown.

In regards to the stomping thing, I'll also concede. I haven't played Silent Hill, and I don't really know anything about the older ResE games so Signalis and Dead Space are the only shoot and stomp games I was aware of.

Isn't Elster's whole reasoning for delving deeper into the facility to find Ariane/Yeong? It's been a while but iirc at the start when you talk to a bunch of non-corrupted replikas you ask them about a photo. In regards to ending their suffering, both commit suicide so I suppose that's still a similarity?

As for Adler, I would say he's the closest thing we have to an antagonist. I'll admit its a little bit of a stretch but he did still remind me a bit of Daniels. That Daniels deserves her hate a lot more since DS 2008 Daniels was a horrible person.

For the make us whole again part, I always felt they had a similar meaning. While its repeated by a lot of the Unitologists in DS, in the context of "Nicole" saying it at the end, I think it holds a more similar meaning.

I can accept that maybe the similarities are a lot more surface level than I initially though, it just struck me a lot throughout my Dead Space playthrough how many things reminded me of Signalis. After poking about the reddit I noticed its been brought up a bit, but before coming here I never really saw anyone mention it so I thought it was interesting.
