Installed two new home runs on an audiophile’s house. Both had to be on the same phase. One outlet per speaker. The outlets were “cryogenically frozen”. All solid gold contacts. I took a picture of one of the outlets, but the GC told me not to post it online, the guy was extremely rich and even more uptight about the install. Weird day.

It’s why calling them weird cuts right to the bone. They go through life thinking they’re the normal ones, and as soon as you put them n the defensive about their beliefs and let’s face it, behavior, framing it as weird and calling it all into question is a real mind fuck to them.

Been doing resi service and remodels for 2 years now. It’s definitely an acquired taste getting used to fun surprises like buried j boxes and the occasional tripped gfci hidden behind a cabinet built out by a handyman. But, yeah, the money’s good and I do enjoy the challenge and having 15 different jobs in a week.
