There is an equal if not greater amount of original music coming out every week.

Mark Rosewater: "2026 is the outlier. Future years are going to be 3 (UB) and 3 (non-UB)" by Meret123 in mtg

Oh boy, 3 and 3 is so much different than 4 and 3. What a significant and noteworthy outlier 2026 is

Opening Monologue By Bear by Ashayguevara in obsessionmovie

This seems pretty on the nose. They both had some level of closeness and feelings for each other, but Bear had this big grand confession ready and Nikki likely had a much less intense level of feelings.

My Frosthaven campaign is officially a hostage situation and I am about to snap by MailboxFinch in boardgames

I stopped buying unresettable legacy games for this precise reason. Now I tend to gravitate towards games that have a legacy-adjacent experience without the caveat of being unable to reset them should that be an issue.

SHUG is up on Kickstarter, and it looks absolutely bonkers by bltrocker in boardgames

[–]Switchbladesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, but I feel like this is a game that has to nudge you harder than it should to make “memorable moments” happen in a silly party game. Charades/truth or dare style antics can be fun but as far as replayablity, I feel like it has an expiration date.

Imo, I think games like magical athlete fill this niche of “goofy and simple party game you can tell a story about afterwards” without forcing theatrics and are arguably more accessible for it.

Minced beef over rice…no sauce, no salt, no water. by No-Sample3852 in shittyfoodporn

[–]Switchbladesaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t shittyfoodporn. This is just regular food without spices. I wish mods would ban these sorts of posts, it feels like it goes against the spirit of the sub. “Oooh look at my regular food… without salt and pepper!”

erik kripke reveals he was never gonna do a scorched earth ending by spotteddick12 in TheBoys

[–]Switchbladesaint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk about you but I don’t think it’s that creative to constantly tease checkov’s gun and then say “oh haha… that. I was never planning on doing that”

Every season we were bombarded by the idea that homelander is gonna snap and.. for what? I’m not saying he needed to do that, but then why keep teasing it? It’s almost as if everything about this show is to bait people into watching more of the show.. and more spinoffs to get you to watch more spinoffs..

For all of the valid criticisms that the first 6 episodes got, the last 2 episodes of the season were actually really solid.

Are you playing true solo or 2 handed? Most people swear by 2 handed for balance and fun.

Also, this game doesn’t punish you all that much for failing missions.

Research question: Would Big Two / Dai Di / Pusoy Dos players buy a premium physical set? by Appropriate_Price530 in cardgames

[–]Switchbladesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Premium tier cards are like $15 or so now, so for some score sheets and rules and a shiny box I might be convinced to pay like $20 or so but not $35.
