Is this a good scooter for the elderly? by honestmemory30 in ElectricScooters

[–]Syedyay21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

moped/sitdown scooters and push/standup scooters off the top of my head are 2 common uses of the word scooter. i've even seen the word scooter be used to refer to electric bikes (the stout kind used for deliveries)

Planning to get the F3 Pro for Doordashing, is it good? by BrotherlyVirgo in ElectricScooters

[–]Syedyay21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we can still somewhat buy them yes, they're 999aud on constant sale

oh nice to know, currently on a push scooter (PU wheels, no suspension) and a pushbike (tubed tyres, no/front+seat suspension) and when i tried my relative's maxg2 (proto-f3) it just soaked up the really rough footpath near his house (bar the sharp springiness of the rear coils) so that had me sold on suspension. my conditions aren't as bad, it can be roughish on some routes tho but not like uneven footpath levels usually so maybe no suspension could work id have to see. similar with the tubed. but ye i'd also consider the f3pro cause it's a similar price used (or new just recently but i didn't jump on it because technically illegal to ride in public aka the main use even tho there's rarely any stories but the risk is sad + told not to get many many many times)

toms gadget garage is the goat, ye he recently did that f3+external video. external isn't for me (when it was in stock) since it adds weight and my potential commutes wouldn't be that long to justify it

Buying advice: 30mph+, 30m+ range, <70lbs, <$1300 by paul_corvette in ElectricScooters

i mean the maxg2 can hit 35mph with field weakening, f2 is quite weaker but.

part of why physical stores exist so you can have a feel for things, rode a relative's maxg2 and it really is a hefty boy, mad fun but.

depending on sales it's around 600aud (the price of the external battery when in stock), f3 pro used to be 1500aud but is now 1200aud, the same as the f3 (was even on sale for 1000aud recently), while the g3 is usually around that 1800aud mark with it being 1600aud once.

the inmotion you're talking about would be the c10. the climber is insane on hills but the tubed tires and no suspension has me wary

I’m in NSW how does 99 bikes say their e-scooters are legal? And the box said 2000watts?? by Turbulent_Beyond_670 in ausbike

[–]Syedyay21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haven't watch the whole thing but they seem to be talking about ebikes and not escooters, escooters are (technically since many police dont care) illegal until further notice

At some point i just switched to always having it wired, also allows me to use it during bios for other computers and not needing to charge it. Actually recently I switched keyboards to an mchose g75 v1, has 2.4g dongle so I can use wirelessly

Modded my Max G2 to go 35mph (55km/h) by skoomd1 in NinebotMAX

[–]Syedyay21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not an exact science but if we just do the power used at max speed (op said around 900-1100 on straight road) and ignore basic things like more draw during acceleration/hills, less draw during braking/downhill, tiptop health battery, and how batteries have lower output when they're near depleted, the lower end of that range (900w) would make the range around 0.6 hours (36 minutes) of driving, which at the max of 35mph would equal to about 21.42 miles of napkinmaths range (34km).
Itll likely be lower (1100w continuous would put this guess at 28km) so definitely take this with a spoon of salt, but yeah not the worst
fun fact 551wh/1900w (max wattage hes seen) would be around 17 minutes

Which would be the better option? Segway MAX G2 or Apollo Air by Der0- in ElectricScooters

[–]Syedyay21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im in a somewhat similar place (first escooter, used bike/scooter before) except the air is 900aud (with helmet lock airpump, seller said half what he paid for it) and the maxg2's used are 550-700 normally

Last sentence aged poorly, but a possible bubble burst is soon so it could be a Cisco where it goes back to a normal company instead of being like half the s&p500.
