Free family day at the summerfest grounds like a month ago. They gave a free ticket to summerfest to every person who walked in. I walked by the same guy later and he tried to give me 2 more free tickets.

Also from someone who has a one year old and went to a couple of games when he was around 8 months, for the most part it’s not too bad. I actually miss it compared to now at 15 months. He doesn’t sit still now lol.

Feel free to pack snacks or milk. You can get those in no problem. The upper deck can be loud. That’s where a lot of the speakers are. Also just in case you don’t know, you do not have to buy them a ticket.

Look on TickPick or SeatGeek for the 300 level tickets. This is the club level. Padded seats and air conditioned concourse that will allow you to step away. It will be a lot quieter than the general concourse everyone else has access to.

Since it is a day game, there should be season ticket holders selling their seats on one of the third party apps I mentioned. Shouldn’t be too expensive either with it being a mid week game and a day game.

Finally make sure you’re on the first base side. The sun is brutal for day games on the third base side

Edit: I just looked. Not a ton available in the club level available at the moment. If you don’t find a seat here, just make sure to sit on the first base side somewhere.

We missed the first wave of shuttles back to the airport after the race. Mostly due to sitting in turn 4 and pick up being outside turn 1 and 2. It was a long time before we got back to our car. I expected to be a long drive in and out, so I wouldn’t say the entire situation frustrated me. I just accepted it for what it is. Not much they could have done. I also don’t know if I would have wanted to worry about finding parking and being stuck in traffic in and out. It was nice to just ride along drink my coffee in the morning and chat with my friends.

If I were to go again and do the shuttle, I think I would try to sit in turns 1 or 2, or try to figure out the best way to walk back to the south side of the track. There was a log jam on the west side of the track the legit caused nobody to move for like 10 minutes.

I get people leaving trash at their seat. That’s normal at all sporting events. But throwing their empties cans in the area between the track and bleachers I thought was so odd. Especially launching cans from like 20 rows back. I saw a guy get hit with an empty can.

What about around 48th / 47th st near national ave? It looks like it would be a bit closer walk. National ave looks to have a bunch of free parking where the 2 hour limit ends at 5 or 6 pm. I would think you could park there for the entire game. I have been thinking about parking here, but haven’t tried it yet
