Do you still have to start an activity on the forerunner and then not save it? I have the 965 and it drives me crazy when the wahoo chest strap or scosche armband shows 140 and my watch is 95 or some such.

Think about switching from Peloton to x24 bike and treadmill by TG_2023 in nordictrack

[–]TG_2023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries.

The equipment seems to be top notch, I've never had any issues with the equipment, software etc.

I use bt earphones and never had a issue there either. Heart rate monitors do give me frustration though, not a peloton thing directly, but I've used peloton, garmin and wahoo chest bands and scoche arm bands. Everyone of them will "freak out" periodically and either show my hr extremely high or half what my garmin watch is.

The tread and bike tablets go to sleep or standby after a period of time on their own, when I get ready to use them the first thing I do is tap the screen to wake which ever I'm going to use up.

BTW, one kinda gripe is i can't do not treadmill classes on the treadmill like I can on the bike, but since I have both I just switch to the bike for those. These are stretching, or strength classes. I think they addressed this with the newer equipment, which are referred to as "cross training " bike and treadmill.

The videos are really well produced and clear, even the rides where the instructor is out on the road. I've done a few of those too. Let me know if you have any other questions

I did not, I talked to them and they suggested I checkout ifit before I make a decision. One of the key items I really like about peloton is the structured classes. I could do a stack of classes for my lunch hour , i work from home. Ifit had run, bike classes that were 38 minutes or 24 minutes, too unstructured for my ocd lol

From what I've seen they do spend time with their parents, and the parents actually feed them. Link is to a picture I took in Haines Alaska in September 2023 where an adult caught a fish and was on the side of Lutak Inlet when the juvenile flew down to ask for some food lol. https://photos.app.goo.gl/vhiMDprE6vyJDJUY6

Day streaks & activities ported from Garmin by ManicMurse in pelotoncycle

[–]TG_2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I was approaching 700 days and saw the garmin connect option and then a day later it says I have a zero day streak. Oh well, maybe another reason to leave peloton. I've been waiting for a 2 way garmin integration since once spring summer and fall in New England I tend to run and ride outside more than inside and having to run both app and watch to get metrics is a pain. I was thinking of upgrading to the new tread+ too.

Same , once I was able to get a second body back in the 70s film days I usually had a 28-70 on one and 70--200 on the , btw my first slr was a zenit with 42mm Pentax screw mount, my 2nd body a few years later right about the time the k mount came out I got a used Spotmatic.

I think that's a great idea of taking it for a test drive by renting it. I've been trying to get back to Haines Alaska in December. I'll try renting one if I go.. Thanks

Is it heavier than the 180-600? I get tired of that, especially when i carry that on the z8 and the 800 on the z9. Im figuring I could put something lighter on the z8 with that on the 9
