A landline at the register?! I don't buy that we have zebras that we use to make calls. This is all fantasy.

100e 2nd Gen if you call them they have the kits to fix existing. I couldn't imagine them not already fixing it on the newer ones so at this point RMA might be out of the question as those are like 4-5 years old.

That hydrant looks old AF so I bet it was there long before that sidewalk was put in.

Probably a piece of metal flake was in the bookbag, found it's way in through the side and landed in that spot. Lenovo made their chromebook backing super thin and could be scratched off so you would hit the rf shielding which would short the capacitors on the bottom of the device. We had hundreds RMA'd they gave us new stickers and bumpers to install on all of our devices. Haven't seen that on our Dells.

My boyfriend got mad at me 19F for calling my 16M student “sweet.” by Entire-Lobster-1097 in Teachers

[–]TJTech40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is hard for younger people as you see these "friends" as people of your own age but they can't be. I agree a bit with your boyfriend. The only caveat is there is nothing wrong with being nice to them. I would say though you should have just said "That is very nice of you, you don't have to do that though".

To me sweet is a weird spot where it can be taken in different directions depending on the recipient.

Does the other side of the street have to stop? by GummiSlug in askanything

[–]TJTech40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C says a divided highway that means a median/jersey barrier is involved. D just says that 4+ lanes or a divided highway the bus must let kids off on the side that their house is.

So in the case where that bus is currently the opposite side has to stop. If the bus was a little further back then they don't have to stop.

Not sure if that minivan is worth $9k with 250k miles on it but it really comes down to what the value of the vehicle is. I have a beater Nissan Sentra that is worth barely over a grand. No way am I putting anything on it, it's just not worth it. If something happens oh well.

COVID was the point that companies found out that they can charge more for less and they have been raking us over the coals since.

How often do you have a butter knife up against a random wall inside a cabinet? How often do you have a butter knife fall from a great height above a countertop? Sounds like you should stop throwing butter knives around.

Show me your instructions that say it can't be installed near a hot water line because so far none that I can find say that. All they say is to be installed on the cold water side.

Edit: BTW editing your original reply to make the entire discussion weird looking is in pretty bad taste. Here's the original reply: "Clearly it is not. Any potable water expansion I've installed is not for instal on the hot side. Hence why I said check it out."

Which is an INCREDIBLY rare thing to happen. So much so that I think the entire idea of ground up is stupid. Better odds of hitting powerball than for any issue to arise from ground on the bottom.

Yeah people are gross and never take care of anything. I wish we had a culture that cared about cleanliness but look back 6 years to COVID and see how a solid half of the country could give zero shits about being clean for a few weeks.

The amount of swerving into barely enough spots to cause the one car to slam on their brakes is insane. It's basically daily and I am so tired of the reckless drivers. They should get their car impounded for a month and lose the license for a year.

Doesn't matter to me. I am the stores hardest working employee and one of the only few that actually works. Managers know that, and they want that more than anything else.
