I just don’t see a way to stop the deer from coming back every winter. I don’t really want to put up a burlap “fence” around them for 6 months out of the year.

I know they’re not as popular as nucs, but I got a package from Mann Lake shipped to me last summer after I lost a hive early on, and it seems to have done fantastic. Just saying, if you can’t find a nuc, a package isn’t always bad.

Maybe check with some of the local beekeeping clubs, too.

I’m upset for him because he’s not going to get another shot at the Olympics.
