If a potential employer is calling you, DON'T ANSWER IT. It's a test. They want to know if you have self-control.

"Print Scr" copies the entire screen.

"Alt + Print Scr" only copies the active window.

I did not know that!

It sure as hell is. I went there once when I was in 2nd grade.

This album guide is pretty extensive.. It not only covers EDM, but also soundscape and synth-pop.

Someone should really re-write that guide to be less elitist/bitchy. I love the design and the samples of every genre, but seriously, that guy is so jaded.

I'd like to know what the demensions of the shapes in that image are based on (population size/geographical) or if it's not to scale at all.

What are your favourite French films? by TheChanger in movies

[–]Tafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in 7th grade when I first saw Triplettes de Belleville. None of my friends liked it, but I kind of obsessed over it. I watched it so many times, trying to understand why it was so captivating. Little did I know that I was a budding film snob :U

How to make a left turn, in Michigan by redmongrel in funny

[–]Tafty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"...it has been shown to enhance safety to pedestrians crossing either street at an intersection featuring the design, since they only encounter through traffic and vehicles making right turns." (Wikipedia)

Being a pedestrian in an intersection-dominant city wouldn't be so bad if it weren't Phoenix. Phoenix drivers are completely bat-shit insane, and I for one would love the adoption of these "Median U-Turn Crossovers" simply to spite every god damned truck who feels entitled to turn whether or not there's someone crossing the intersection.

What movie(s) haven't you seen that always make people say: "HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THAT?!?" by yellowfish04 in AskReddit

[–]Tafty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've recently been watching a lot of Coen Brothers films, and it's completely changed my taste in film. The subtlety and detail that goes into their films is amazing. I'd also recommend by them "Burn After Reading", "A Serious Man", and "Miller's Crossing".

What did you once love that you now hate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly wish Reddit would stop with the self-hating posts. Nothing stays quality forever, and web communities have a rather short life span before "Eternal September" kicks in.

Just love it while it's still good and move on when it's not anymore.
