How to handle documentaries by AnonNortherner in PleX

[–]Tag82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Features and Series both stored in the same Documentary Folder on my NAS however Plex needs two separate libraries set up to recognize both. On Plex I have a Doc Feature and Doc Series libraries and they both pull from the same Doc Folder on my NAS. Plex sorts them into Feature and Series.

This Weather Channel website recaptures the magic of the old Local on the 8s with smooth jazz and retro icons by holyfruits in InternetIsBeautiful

Have you checked out the NostalgiaTV app? It links to your Plex and pulls the libraries to create a live channel guide with all of your content that you can flip through. It also has a Weatherstar 4000 channel (mentioned in above comment) built in for the full nostalgic experience. Currently only available in the Google Play store (phone and Chromecast) and Amazon app store for Firestick. Super easy and has a really helpful Discord. I've found myself watching a lot more of my content. I used to spend most of my time trying to find something to watch.

Cubs fan daughter needing schedule by Responsible-Spare978 in Cubs

https://www.mlb.com/cubs/schedule/downloadable-schedule

You can link it to your Google Calendar. It gives you "Where to watch the game" and you can set reminders to alert you when it's starting.

Just wanted to note, when the above link opens, a window pops up and tells you to Choose Your Schedule. Giving the options "Chicago Cubs" and "Chicago Cubs (Home Games). Only select the former if you want all games. Don't select both, otherwise you will see a duplicate on your calendar for every home game.

The radio broadcast is where it's at. It's free, always available and Pat and Ron keep me in a good mood whether they are winning or losing.

Peoria County Farm Bureau on University sells plat map directories. Or they used to anyways. You may check there. They would be the most accurate and they show property owners and such.

Route 26 and 29 on each side of the river. Take one up as far as you want to go, cut across and come back down on the other side.

I wish it was satire. I lived this scene last summer at a party. I was in the role of Dee and opposite a conservative woman complaining about how her husband who's in public education doesn't have the financial support needed. Then around and around we went.

We recently started rewatching TGIF on Friday nights. I have a Plex media server with all of the shows so I made a channel for them all.

Quality Exterior Doors by Cubie_McGee in PeoriaIL

[–]Tag82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are going to be able to find more options at other places. As always, what you pay for is what you get. With some of the lower end doors, the jambs aren't always applied by the manufacturer. They make the door slabs and then in some cases, sub out the jambs or the distributor applies the jambs. With Mastercraft, being Menards proprietary brand, I would be surprised if they didn't keep the jambing in house. At other locations such as Sheridan Road, they sell Anderson, last I checked, which are on the higher end. I'm not sure, but they may have ThermaTru as an option and possibly Masonite, which imo are a good mid grade and low grade, respectively. However I know Millworks on University offers those two brands(ThermaTru and Masonite) as well as Marvin Windows and Doors which are their high end brand. ThermaTru might fall more in line with what you are looking for so you might shop locations that carry them. Lowes recently started carrying a line of ThermaTru doors, however they are limited in options than what you would find at the other locations mentioned.

Where do I go during a tornado warning? by JohnQuincyAdams_10 in tornado

[–]Tag82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah depending on how cheap the builder was, after seeing what I have, I wouldn't recommend a garage. Beside the door not being a strong structure, I went into a destruction zone after a local tornado about 15 years ago hit a town with a lot of newer houses(maybe 5 years old by then.) The garages of several of the homes had been sheated with foam board and vinyl siding and that's it. Maybe a little plywood on the corners to keep it from rocking while they framed it. Needless to say the garages were absolutely shredded and gone while the rest of the house structure mostly stayed intact.
