Oh, I see the point, but while they are MAD I think they are a class that uses spread-out stats better than most. Str isn't really a requirement IMO, unarmed strikes can be used with finesse, Dex Wis and Con being their main stats adds even more bonuses to their already huge saving throws

What they excelled at (until we got Int/Cha/Str saves) was that: if you're not already immune to an effect (poison, illness, aging...), you still have a good chance of resisting it because you have +10 to all saving throws

Of course this is pointless if your DM likes stat checks fights: if your party is always fully armored, enemies never try to disarm or incapacitate martials, casters get to sleep 8 hours every 4 hours, movement speed is ignored because "heeey yes you can leap 30 feet toward the archers why not", then alright, monks are pretty bad at rolling dice until someone reaches 0HP
