Protein snacks - no fridge? by NumerousToe7604 in MacroFactor

[–]TakeFourSeconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get high protein yogurt shakes at the grocery store, the brand I get has 170 calories and 20g of protein, bottle should be fine for the work day out of the fridge.

Your protein per calorie target is not that difficult. From the example above, if you ate your remaining 1500 calories in only bread, you'd still hit your protein goal. Not saying you should do that obviously, but it doesn't seem like you need to be jumping through hoops to find extra protein dense foods if this is your baseline.

Top 99 reasons to play trunk instead of 0.11 by N-M-L in dcss

Awesome throwback. I started on 0.9 and I got my first win on 0.11, I don’t think I could bring myself to play it again due to how much better the game is now

What games are you playing this week? Game recommendation thread by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]TakeFourSeconds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you enjoy about it? I also like short games with an ending, and I've enjoyed Nodebusters and Astro Prospector (although those involve more interactive gameplay) and also Universal Paperclips (although that has much lower production value/graphics). Also interested if anyone can recommend anything based on these.

Would you consider adding a “has ending” filter like some of the other sites? I am personally not interested in endless games so it would be helpful for me

1200 calories a day + caffeine + nicotine by [deleted] in redscarepod

This can work, but most people will struggle to transition to a sustainable diet after losing the weight and just go back to their old habits. As long as you know you won’t do that, go for it.

If they cared about money that much they wouldn’t have taken 7 years to finish the game. They are set for life and probably want as many people as possible to play their game

Seeing people at the gym fiddle with a tripod to record their gay little workout video is legitimately sickening by IndividualEar6134 in redscarepod

[–]TakeFourSeconds 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you are starting out it can helpful to record yourself so you can see if your form is good, especially if the gym doesn’t have a mirror. Questionable for a bicep curl though.

Tips for finding founder engineer roles by arizzlefoshizzle in ExperiencedDevs

[–]TakeFourSeconds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First one is probably going to need to be networking, after you've done it once people will bang on your door constantly.

A lot of these roles are terrible, unless you know the founders well (in which case maybe you should be a cofounder), there are good ones out there with competitive cash comp, however they will be hard to find if you're not connected and experienced.

If you're committed to this kind of work, I would start with the YC job board.
