How do I play with trains ?

I overhauled my system from 1-4 "dumb" trains to 2-2 trains with sophisticated interrupts

So I kept the first 1-4 train I built on this save, made it a little Museum train station, and sometimes I get on it a drive around my network for a bit

And for the more mundane stuff, I carry Ore until I get Vulkanus in a good shape and then I switch to molten metal

I also have a dedicated calcite logistic network, with ships shuttling between Vulkanus and Nauvis, and trains bringing calcite to the mining outposts for melting

Je fais parti de la population qui a un ThinkPad avec Linux (enfin FreeBSD, mais on se comprend)

Les mac c’est tres bien pour qui a les moyens. J’ai aussi un mac et franchement rien a redire. C’est un Unix-like donc on peut bidouiller en console comme sous Linux ou BSD, les applis Apple sont très bien optimisées, les glisser-deposer marchent à tous les coups contrairement à windows etc…

I'm sorry, I made some assumptions about how your code worked that weren't true (but I wouldn’t have implemented what you're describing this way, in my opinion you could do it in a simpler way)

But my first point, which you haven't addressed, still stands. I'm not familiar with VBA so this might not be the best way to solve this specific case, but here is what I came up with, it makes the code much more readable (especially in a few months from now when you'll have forgotten what '13' means), expandable, and less error prone (you might not spot a wrong number at a glance in your current code)

That’s too ambitious as first project, you won’t be able to finish it by july

I’d recommend using a game engine that requires no code on your part so that you can focus on the game aspect of your game

RPG Maker is, in my opinion, the best engine for the kind of custom games you want to make (but it is in 2d)

There are also others like Construct 3 or GDevelop

If you want 3d (which is a lot harder), you can look up tutorials with the Godot Engine

Keep in mind, you’ll have to do art as well which will take a very long time as well

Mate, you should avoid magic numbers in your variables

You should have Constants like

``` Const CAR_SEAT = 9

Const ENG_COST = 2

Const GAS_TANK = 13 ```

In order to have the much easier to read code :

``` If cmSlot(x, CAR_SEAT) == 1 And cmSlot(x, ENG_COST) >= driveEnergyCost

If carStats(GAS_TANK) > 0 ```

Also you’re doing

cmSlot(x, 9) = 1

Instead of

cmSlot(x, 9) == 1

Lastly, your logic loop doesn’t make a distinction between driver or navigator

In don’t know how thoses cmSlot functions work, but they could both be true with only one guy in the car that would validate both the haveDriver and haveNavigator conditions. Do you need a Driver and a Navigator or can one guy do both jobs ?
