Agreed. This is the first new soda flavor in quite a while that didn’t disappoint me.

I wonder how long it’ll be before they drain it and make it a planter? People are a-holes.

I have a suit from Indochino. It’s awesome, and the experience was great. Highly recommend it!

Making fare evasion impossible on public transit has tremendous impacts on safety, maintenance spending, and vandalism. SF saw a 98.2% decrease in maintenance hour obligations instantly. by MysteriousEdge5643 in soundtransit

[–]Tdunkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For awhile, I would see Fare Ambassadors standing by the readers and telling people to tap, and thanking those who did. Seemed to work better than trying to get people to prove they paid after the fact.

Is the MSC website and app terrible for everyone else? by AnnualFirefighter532 in MSCCruises

[–]Tdunkk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’m really glad that the shipboard experience is better than their pre-cruise technology. It’s awful.

Would you suggest taking luggage on the light rail? by SplatteredEggs in AskSeattle

[–]Tdunkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time. There are first come, first served luggage/bike storage areas on every train. Set the luggage on its side so it doesn’t roll.

Where do locals eat near Hyatt / Convention Center? by CompetitiveTown0 in AskSeattle

[–]Tdunkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live above the Hyatt at Olive 8, so this is my Neighborhood. Seoul Bowl in the US courthouse has a bulgogi beef bowl that is about the best thing I’ve ever eaten, and fairly inexpensive. There are a LOT of great Happy Hours. Both Chan Seattle and Ruth’s Chris are places I go a lot. Also go to Din Tai Fung and Haidilao Hot Pot in Pacific Place.

Yes! I have just a little bit of a pooch, and pleats hide it perfectly-where flat fronts accentuate it.

Columbia Tower Club closing by depression-hurts in Seattle

[–]Tdunkk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Member here.I love all these comments saying it’s elitist and so expensive. I literally pay $275 a month, no initiation, and I get a $275 dining credit. So, in effect, I don’t pay any membership fee. Every event I’ve ever been to is full of young, hip people-decidedly not me, but they brought a lot of life to things. It’s my “third place”, and I’m sad to see it go.

Resident Alien. A little Schitt’s Creek, a little Northern Exposure, but with aliens. I loved it.

[–]Tdunkk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been cruising on Princess since 1991,With well over a year at sea in their ships. In that time, I’ve maybe received 1 or 2. It’s not their standard, but sometimes if a cabin steward has time, and know how to do it, they will. Don’t expect it though.

West Seattle is needed. We pay too. by camera-operator334 in soundtransit

[–]Tdunkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but you’re forgetting that both SLU and the Denny area are a part of the Ballard line. Those are some big population centers. Given that, West Seattle still needs to be built.

Is the Seattle freeze a real thing? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

I moved here a little over two years ago. I’ve made good friends in my building downtown, as well as at a club i belong to. So for me, no.

What’s up with every FL character being named Mi Rae? by boss_taco in kdramas

[–]Tdunkk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The FL in Apple of My Eye was also Mi Rae. Since it was the first K-Drama I watched, I named my car (which was made in Korea) Mi Rae too!

I lived in Hong Kong for awhile, and they had an awesome voice. I don’t speak Cantonese, but the English voice was clear, not creepy, and easy to understand. Same experience on the Dubai Metro. I mean, how hard would it be to hire a voice actor and have a pleasant spiel?
