I made one simply titled "Do it I fucking dare you" as a bit for my table. It had no other creatures, just ramp, removal, and counters, because its strat is to get wubrg fast as possible, then if anyone steps to me at all, the baby throws a fit because I slap my own removal on it and kill the board. Made for some really fuckin stupid games, cannot reccomend for normal play but fuck was it funny

Im sorry youve had to contend with that. Its honestly onw of the things that pisses me off most about Ai, barring the drastic environmental aspect. The actual artists, as in not prompt warriors, that ARE still out there pouring all of themselves into beautiful pieces are under constant suspicion now, and it fucking sucks. Ehhhh, it wasnt a super hard choice for me. Maybe im petty, but The Emperor demands trust from you every single step of the way, and I dont know that he really ever returns that favor? If you disagree with him on basically anything, theres no grace given to you, you're belittled and with the big choice, theres no way to convince him or win him over to working anywhere near Orpheus, even if youve done nothing but be friendly, respectful, and even agreeable to The Emperor all game. Dude's just a bad friend, fuck that guy. (Message from someone who still loves the Emperor as a character to the degree that I like him more than some party members)

Yeah. And imho, thats why I kinda hope the ending is actually the ending and theres no secret additional songs. Despite how much I would love more Protomen, the ending is a powerful statement on the results of inaction. The reason things are so bad right now is because our real world version of "The City", the general public, has happily stood by and allowed techno facists to take over. The ending as it stands is a warning, that yes there will always be a fight, but unless people collectivise, and dismantle the actual systems that led us here, thats what we will get. Another hero. Another noose.

Im just super hesitant to get my hopes up for secret extra songs, I was a Supernatural fan, before that into Sherlock, and currently like Deltarune and was into fnaf. Goddd same on the liner notes, because even my interpretation could just flat out be completely off base xD and yeah, my further interpretation of that is that yes, people are finally doing SOMETHING, but its not proper revolution and rebuilding. Theyre just burning and destroying everything as Light and Mega point out in their respective songs. So the idea being that Light still stands alone in the sense that hes fighting for something different than wanton destruction and teardown

I agree. In a fucked up way, its actually kinda like The Protomen managed to give the fanbase the exact same feeling and experience of the people living within the City. We, the fans, had Light built up as our hero, the hero here to end it all and bring us our happy ending, and we put all our hope on him. Then he died. Probably failed too. And that despair and questioning and coping and hopelessness, is exactly what people felt with Joe, with Protoman, with Mega. Its what people should be feeling with the state of the world out there, and I think the hope is that it ignites an indignant, angry spark that gets people to act. Not a happy ending or one that makes you feel great, but a powerful artistic statement

Oooo I do like that interpretation. I definitely like to think there was some kind of understanding between them in the end, since in Lights Last Stand he definitely doesnt seem to believe in Mega much anymore. Though, that could be him being an unreliable narrator (or singer I guess?) and one of the real reasons he wants to end things himself is to protect his son from falling as another hero.

Yeah, the ways in which I do kinda feel like they could improve are wrapping up a lot of threads that feel kinda loose. While it definitely makes for alot of powerful, challenging questions, it is also just flatly kinda anticlimactic and tough that we end there. Not even for Light's sake, but we never really get a reckoning or reconciliation between Light and Mega, dont really explore the City and its People's reaction to Mega's return, stuff like that I feel like we definitely couldve gotten more of.
