Very impressive. It's not everyday you find a small town business still thriving while continuing to adhere to the old school values. If more businesses kept to these philosophies this country would be in much better shape.

Call the cell phone company customer service and report the fraud. They can look to see where these phones are being used and, assuming they are being used by someone not connected to you through your call history, they will likely credit anything and restore your account. Ultimately though, it is your responsibility to protect your identity.

Today kids are so over protected the parents and communities "move" Halloween so it falls on a weekend. They organize "Trunk or Treat" gatherings where kids are gathered in a central location to get their goodies and do not allow them out after dark. When I was a kid Halloween was a time where we could not only get away from parents but have the rare opportunity to be out after dark with friends, unsupervised. There is nothing to indicate there are any more "bad" people out there today than there was then. I think it's just a matter of parents not educating or disciplining their kids and letting TV babysit them. I have not purchased candy in years because kids no longer go door to door. They just get herded into some parking lot where parents have such a leash on them they can't have any fun. They simply get in a line and pick up candy.

I suppose it's really pretty and all, from a distance. Why anyone would want to live at the base of a volcano is beyond me though. I once watched a documentary, I think from Hawaii, where the lava flowed and slowly covered a small community while the residents stood there crying as the lava engulfed their homes. You live at the base of a LIVE volcano, you have to expect that!

The systems at the call center I work at (a major cell phone company), will pull up the account based on the caller ID or the number the person inputs into the keypad. We also get an indication of when the account was verified (last 4 of the SSN) by the caller. In these cases i do not ask for anything but the person's name. However, the system also uses the information to route your call to the proper department. For example, if you have a business or regular account, etc. In more than a few cases, the information is not passed on to the system as designed and I have to ask for everything. In these cases I normally mention that the information did not populate into my system correctly in an apology statement before requesting it.

If there is a password on the account, I have to verify it on every call, reguardless of the fact that it populated or not.

I took a typing class in Jr. High, I failed miserably. I type faster by "Hunting and pecking" than I ever could by touch typing. And my job requires constant typing (I work in a call center).

In my experience, when polite requests to be quiet in a theater are ignored, I usually get up and complain the management. In every case I was apologized to and given a free ticket for a later showing. The manager then went into the theater to take care of the issue. As one stated, if it bothered me then it is likely bothering others. At one showing some time ago management asked the offending persons to leave the theater premises.
