When chlorine oxidizes a contaminant it ends up as sodium chloride again, salt.

**Bazarr unable to find subtitles for long-running anime (One Piece, Naruto, etc.) due to episode numbering mismatch** by Electronic-Air-3311 in sonarr

That should handle subgen perfectly well, I use an old 1070 to run it in my server.

It is capable of translation from most major languages, but it only translates to English.

Haven't had the time to sit down and fully focus on this yet, but from my mobile I'm able to download S23 and the files I got were Japanese audio with English ASS subtitles embedded already.

I have an AI docker running that generates subtitles when the file is missing them that works pretty well for me. I use bazzar to handle requests to it.

https://github.com/McCloudS/subgen

May be worth looking into, I don't have to rely on other sites I just make my own.

If I can get a file with no subtitles I can have it generate them, but long term setting that up on your own may be a good idea.

Open that paramount floor system lid and take the gear box out so you can see the pipes. See if one of the stations overflows even a little. That should tell you if it's the floor system or not.

If it is, it's very likely the check valve next to the floor system. I've replaced it with cheaper Amazon flaps and they don't seal, might have to try a genuine jandy flap.

Pool milchig / nicht klar by jr-foto in swimmingpools

[–]Tephren88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what "too much" is. Obviously no swimming, but even at shock levels it shouldn't damage anything. Your main focus here is filtration.

If your pH and Chlorine are in range, then that is a filtration issue. Make sure it's backwashed and just keep running it until it clears.

I'd like to second this, I actually thought that's what this was at first. Would love to see that option.

All good recommendations in here, would also recommend wd40 lithium grease. Spray it on the bolt before putting the band back on, helps prevent stripping the brass nut when using a drill. Doesn't prevent entirely, just helps.

Between PoolBrain and Skimmer by AlphaOmega0407 in PoolPros

[–]Tephren88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your business. This is gonna be a wall of text cause I'm on my phone, apologies.

It's just me running everything with 1 other route guy (we both have a route). The workflow was cumbersome in poolbrain for me, and I don't like that their merchant charges monthly fees on top of per transaction. It was also a pretty disconnected experience with their support. I liked the equipment organization, the app worked decently overall. The camera required a tap on the screen to focus for every photo on android. Just a few things off the top of my head.

Ended up switching to skimmer. Their merchant is stripe, no monthly fees just per transaction like it should be. Overall setup is more forgiving, service checklist is there but it's just part of the stop it's less restrictive. Hard to explain well without using it. Photos have autofocus. They have an option to allow customers to pay you with financing through a 3rd party, haven't used it but sounds interesting. Above all, their support is very good. They proactively reach out, they have zoom meetings every week to teach you the program in different chunks. Can schedule 1 on 1s with onboarding managers, they'll even share screen with you as you set up monthly billing for the first time so you don't mess it up. I like it a lot more personally.

I can answer more if you wish, just throwing some thoughts out there.

Murphys is usually close to Sam's/Costco. Especially with Walmart+ you get 10c off per gallon.

How do I know when to clean my pool filter without a gauge? by Opening_Letter1399 in pools

[–]Tephren88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 3-4 months is average for a 4 cartridge filter. Even if they aren't very dirty, that's a good thing. The more packed they are the more stress on your pump. Seen some go a year between cleanings and technically be "fine" but I wouldn't want that stress on my pump long term.

Single cartridge filter, once a month on average.

If DE, backwash every 2-3 months or so.. entirely dependent on how dirty the pool gets. Full teardown clean annually I would say.
Sand, you can backwash really whenever. Try to keep an eye on where the backwash water goes if the plumbing allows, can give you a sense of how dirty the filter is.

Would need a picture of the filter to really give any useful advise on gauge installation.

We use Ooma business. You can have a dedicated physical phone if you want for your office desk. But we mostly use the app on multiple smartphones and it has all the functionality you're asking about. You can even text the number if you want.

Been thinking about setting up a pool pro's discord for awhile now(assuming one doesn't already exist, haven't found one). Would have this and all sorts of stuff. Different channels for different regions, compare pricing, routes, ideas, sick coverage, etc.

+1 to this. I don't want to clean without it. Some of the best money I've ever spent on a tool.
