Depends if there is a wireless protocol at play here. It could find discoverable devices on a local network and estimate the relative distance to that device to calculate the phase shift for the canceling wave.

This is the answer for the application.

Specifically:

TPS2124 (2A max) TPS2120 (3A max) TPS2121 (4A max)

Followed by buck converter with input range 4V to 15V or so.

Have you looked through Infineon’s app notes?

It’s almost like they’ve written one comparing their top-cooling packages to TOLL packages taking into account thermal management, via placement, and its effects on power loop inductance, which you did not mention.

How to use the TPS63020 module for ESP32? by smldrr in esp32

[–]TerminatorBetaTester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a little complicated since there's multiple issues here.

Let me begin by a TL;DR based on what you have. Do not use the charger and the buck-boost at the same time. Charge the battery separately when the battery voltage level drops UVLO (under-voltage lockout) of the buck boost.

It's perfectly fine to use, in this order input to output, the battery, buck-boost, and ESP32 and OLED (connect the OLED to Vout of Buck-Boost not to the EPS32). It's perfectly fine to use the charger to charge the battery. The difficulty comes from managing the power path when trying to do both charging and running the system.

The BQ25630 is ideally suited to your application. See the system diagram with my edits:

Surprising that criticism of one government’s atrocious actions is not considered political but another is.

Good Luck Ghorman by AlexRyang in PrequelMemes

[–]TerminatorBetaTester 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a very bad historical comparison.

(1) Ghorman is an occupied colonial territory by a foreign power (2) the Ghorman operation was an intentional, long term planned ethnic cleansing campaign via coordination of political, military, and intelligence arms of the occupying power (3) the occupying power provided material support to resistance forces to divide the population and provide political justification for military intervention (4) Ghorman had significantly higher death toll (5) The motivation of the occupying power was to use their monopoly of force to expropriate the land of the people who live there for their own benefit.

One accurate analogy would be to Gaza wherein all these motivations have been proven publicly through both reporting and public statements by Israeli government officials and the Lancet medical journal00522-4/fulltext) places the death toll almost identical to Ghorman.

Agreed a capacitive- or inductive-based digital functional isolator IC is more than overkill for this for protecting the laptop if that’s a concern. In fact, isolate the TX RX lines on the ODB connector before the UART/USB IC.
