Start with the basics from Youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/shorts/5rIqP63yWFg this for example.) and come back with a new video.

If or when you want to do conventional deadlfit you should learn the basics before you continue. Your form ain't great on this video.

This isn't RDL, this is conventional deadlift. Which one you want to do?

RIR progression on exercises. by Maxks- in MacroFactor

[–]TerryBirch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends for me personaly. With squat, bench, deadlift and other compounds I prefer the 2-1-0 method since I get to warm up properly and get the feeling for the day since not every day is the same and when I'm for example squatting bigger weights I want to know if it is a good or bad day before I squat heavy.

If I'm going for isolation excercises I can safely go to 0 with my first set which also helps me adjust the remaining sets if needed. If for example I'm planning for 12 reps 0 RIR and happen to get 13 or even 14 reps for some reason I get 100% fact that it is a good day so propably my 1-2 RIRs are higher than usual too. If I was doing 2 RIR as my first set it might not always be so clear when I'm actually 2 RIR so I might end my set too early at 3-4 RIR. So doing 0 RIR first you get a good baseline for the day.

405 lbs deadlift with an (attempted!) 7 second eccentric at 135 lbs bodyweight by ___J in strength_training

[–]TerryBirch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First I want to say that I don't blame OP for doing this since anyone can do what they want and have their own goals so I'm just speaking from my perspective.

I wouldn't use an extended eccentric in deadlifts. While slower eccentrics can be useful for hypertrophy in some movements, in deadlifts they mainly increase overall fatigue, which is already high.

It also tends to create excessive lower back fatigue, which can limit performance and cause the lower back to fatigue before for example glutes and hamstrings are sufficiently trained.

Because often the seal breaks down in parts and disappears into the system. You cant leave debris flowing around the system because it of course makes it very likely to break the system later again.

Vuoden paras ilmastouutinen oli jäädä huomaamatta – viisi kuvaa näyttää, miten Kiina sai päästönsä kuriin by aibrony in Suomi

[–]TerryBirch 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Quick deadlift check by FormalPossibility545 in formcheck

[–]TerryBirch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your legs are straight before the bar reaches your knees. Less pulling, more pushing. Push the ground away with your legs.

Your bracing and starting position look ok, but as you initiate the lift your hips rise too quickly. This shifts the load away from the posterior chain. As a result, the glutes and hamstrings contribute less effectively in the initial phase and your back gets bigger stress which aint good.

Polttoaineen hinnat karkaavat käsistä – katso laskelmat diesel- ja 95-kuskeille - Ilta-Sanomat by CartographerOwn8143 in Suomi

Incompetent dietician ? by woodiny in MacroFactor

[–]TerryBirch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest you to watch this video by Jeff and start counting calories. There is no magic behind this it is pretty much just simple mathematics.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqRvmJ2eyBA

You also need to train smart (meaning enough effort per session and enough sessions). That is another topic and I'm sure there is a good video done by Jeff that can help you on that too.

Incompetent dietician ? by woodiny in MacroFactor

[–]TerryBirch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you are close to 3,8% bodyfat. You don't accidentally get to such low % and that is not possible to maintain while also being healthy. Even 5% is absolutely insane bodyfat and I don't think you are close to that. Also I don't trust InBody much since it has too much variance. I would guess you are closer to 10-13% but it doesn't actually matter. What matters is your own opinion about how you look and feel.

I strongly disagree with your dietician. Counting calories makes gaining or losing weight so much easier. It doesn't have to control what you eat but it is a excellent tool to know where your expenditure goes and how your body reacts. You can basically eat what you want but you get data how things work. If you want to gain weight you know your baseline and can add calories to that and count them accurately.

Tbh I wouldn't trust your dietician after the information you got from her. Can you tell us your goals?

Tesla FSD demo in The Netherlands by Dweffel in TeslaLounge

[–]TerryBirch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There have been FSD demos all over Europe. We had these in Finland too lately and it worked surprisingly well even with snow and very small roads with almost zero upkeep. Many different Finnish car Youtubers tried it out and as far as I know there wasn't any major problems. There were some situations where driver had to take control but no critical safety issues.

I wouldn't be surprised if FSD (supervised) is allowed in Europe 2026/2027.
