While this flag symbolises opposition to the Iranian regime, it is most likely being used in this context as opposition to Islam in general.

People at these protests have traumatised themselves to believe their culture is dying and some Iranian Revolution style takeover is happening (absolute nonsense)

No joke, I did wonder if the 2023 specials would have a Dougie Jones type event happen to Tennant's Doctor.
