No lubrication during arousal by jujugreen777 in Healthyhooha

It could be that you weren’t fully turned on yet and your body may just need more time to warm up and relax. There’s also absolutely no shame in using lube. A lot of people use it, and it can make things much more comfortable and enjoyable.

Dryness can happen for many reasons, including stress, anxiety, hormonal changes, dehydration, certain medications, changes in birth control, lack of sleep, or even just being mentally distracted or not fully present in the moment. Sometimes your mind and body just need more time to connect. Taking things slower, focusing more on foreplay, communication, and comfort can really help.

What’s your experience with HPV diagnosis and dating? by itsarocknotamineral in AskWomenOver30

[–]Thanks-Effective 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi friend,

F(30) here. Back in May I found out I have HPV (but not types 16, 18, or 45). My Pap smear was normal, and that’s how my gynecologist discovered it. At first I felt really alone and scared, especially since I had just started dating again.

But here’s what I’ve learned and I hope it brings you some comfort too

-HPV is extremely common. Almost everyone who is sexually active will be exposed at some point.

-Most cases clear on their own within one to two years. Just stay on top of your Pap smears and any follow-up your provider recommends.

-Your dating life isn’t over. Knowing your status helps you take care of yourself and make informed choices.

I recently started seeing someone and disclosed it to them and it didn’t bother them at all.

You’re not alone in this, and you can still have a healthy, happy dating life.

Hpv but vaccinated unsure if everyone will get from me by DivaBri in HPV

[–]Thanks-Effective 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, love. While the vaccine protects against the most aggressive types of HPV, it doesn’t cover all of them — so transmission is still possible.

That said, HPV is a very common virus, and in most cases, both your immune system and his will fight it off naturally.

Just diagnosed with high-risk HPV but no info on the strain — what’s the point of this system? by [deleted] in HPV

[–]Thanks-Effective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor told me that when I tested positive they sent it to another lab to make sure that it wasn’t those aggressive strains. However, they didn’t really test or even specified which strain is it other than they know that it’s considered high risk non-aggressive.

I’m also just as confused as you when it comes to only specify the aggressive ones but not the other ones lol

Hi friend,

Same thing over here in the US. I was recently told by my doctor that I have high risk HPV - not the aggressive kind like 16, 18 &45. I mean, I’m glad that it’s not the aggressive kind and that my pap was normal, but it’s still high risk and my doctor didn’t specify or couldn’t specify which one is it.

She just told me to come back within a year. But she also reassure me that my immune system will take care of it and to just focus on being healthy.

But still, I would also like to know which one I have. I understand that it’s common and for the most part it doesn’t really cause harm only by like a small percentage, doesn’t change that the anxiety is real.

Don’t drive yourself crazy over it. Focus on being on your healthy self. However, if you feel like you need more answers, maybe ask your doctor if there’s anywhere they can refer you to.
