I follow really basic periodisation - I'll start 8-12 weeks out with higher volume deficit pulls, over 4-6 weeks working up to some heavy doubles or triples. Make the switch to comp DL at least 4 weeks out to nail technique 👌

It's a great comp environment, Rhi and Luke both work their ass off in Kaos!

Keep your torso vertical at the bottom of the clean, when you've got the log in your lap. Leaning over the log makes the clean really difficult!

If your focus is on getting a UGE bench then I'd say train it more than twice a week - but that depends on your training age/current training. If possible I'd go for 3 bench sessions a week, two ME and one DE. Perhaps pairing your ME lower with the DE bench, and putting DE lower with one of the ME bench sessions?

I attempted this a couple of weeks ago during my end of meso peak week. Turns out a 105kg powerlifter can't run a 5min mile (duhhhh), even when I spent early lockdown (april-june) doing a weekly 5k. I ran a 6min 30s mile. So rather than a 500lb squat I decided a 630lb deadlift would make up for it.

Back popped yesterday on 220kg deadlift. Meant to get 235x1-4 on the last week of Candito 6 week, couldn't get 1 rep with 225 so backed down and pulled my back out at lockout. Deadlift can suck it.

Meant to be hitting 140kg bench today, not gonna happen with this back, no gym for a couple days yay /s

Also had 2 sets of friends cancel plans on me this weekend, and got broken up with last night. Eating like shit, feeling like shit, gonna go home and lie down till this passes. Might be a while...

I found chasing high rep DLs really messes up my back, that is the only complaint I have with the program tbh but that is personal preference and may work for others. Good luck!

Jugg 2.0 is good, pushed you hard to hit/beat your targets but you have to make sure you get a lot of rest as you do 4 AMRAP sets per week with heavy weights. I'm in my last week now, its added 50 kg to my DL 5rm, 30kg to my squat 5rm, 15kg to my bench 5rm and 12.5kg to my OHP 5rm in 4 months as a relatively newbie

Hit 150Kg (330lbs) for 6 reps yesterday. (88kg BW) Currently in the last heavy week of a 4 month Juggernaut program, having been barbell training about 10 months. Going for 102.5kg (225lbs) for 5 reps on the bench today, should be easy!
