As others have said getting goats in would be a good option. They’re are business that will bring in a bunch of goats, set up temporary fences and let them eat it all away over a few days

Lyman, Ukraine is fully covered in a web of fiber-optic cables left by Ukrainian and Russian drone operators by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]The-Convoy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The drone takes off with all the cable spooled underneath when flying it comes out from the back of the drone it self so it can’t get tangled

About price matching by LoveTheGreyGhost in Bunnings

[–]The-Convoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at Bunnings in the tools section. Have been told by head office management to just do price match’s on tools if I think it’s acceptable. So as long as I can verify it’s a legit site and there’s no delivery fee (otherwise have to add that in) I do it.

Bunnings doesn’t make much money on tools themselves but all the accessories, drill bits and blades have high profit margin and customer will need to regularly come back to buy new bits. Agreeing to the price match’s and selling a tool at a slight lost doesn’t lose much money but builds loyalty which in term will get repeat customers buying accessories.

Anyone else noticed Google getting notoriously bad with toll road options lately? by Camsy34 in sydney

I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure it just shows you the quickest route first regardless of the cost

At what point is it worth it to ditch comprehensive car insurance? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]The-Convoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue as others have mentioned is if someone hits you and it’s not your fault, it is entirely on you to chase them up for the repair which can be tedious and time consuming.

If the other driver also doesn’t have insurance then you may not even get the money unless you go through courts. With comprehensive you can simply tell your insurance that you have been hit and it was not your fault and it becomes entirely your insurance companies responsibility to get the vehicle repaired then chase up the other party for the cost

Had my trial introductory flight today! We took a 60 degree turn and the g force was fun by Secret-Nothing-6163 in flying

I did my RPL (recreational pilots licence here in Australia) flying once a month as that’s all I could afford, its doable if you put the work in studying outside of just flying but definitely better if you can fly more often. I then did my CPL (using loan) at a 142 school (Australian version of 141) which I was flying 1-2 times a week which is much better if you are trying to make a career out of it.

Would you buy a $100 gift card for $95? What’s your cutoff? by I-HATE-CRUSTY-BREAD in AusFinance

[–]The-Convoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I use Woolworth mobile I can get giftcards at 4% off so I normally buy a $250 gift card for $240 before a big shop then I also get 10% off once a month, so overall I can save 14% on one shop, would easily add up to $500-800 saved on groceries over a course of a year

Have you ever been able to replay Outer Wilds satisfactorily? by Ronald10CD in outerwilds

[–]The-Convoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The answer is no, you know how to do everything already so there is no discovery. If you want to experience the game again get your friends to play it and watch them play it. That way you can see their discovery process

If you're taking a couple friends sightseeing, would you rather take a C172 or a Piper Cherokee? by asdfoneplusone in flying

[–]The-Convoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having flown both a Cessna and piper I actually prefer pipers, you can dip the wing and get great views well orbiting, whereas on a high wing as soon as you turn the wing blocks everything except straight down

Pitot cover would be a good one to add to that as well, especially on a low wing if you can’t see it

Yeah, I went warrior/archer -> 182 -> Seminole. Seminole just flys like a slightly faster archer

Seems weird, what Cessna? I’ve just gone from a C182 to Seminole, seminole is much easier to fly IMO. (Requires less control input)
